Forgiven
Walking down the path of life,
many sorrows cross our way,
pain so deep,wounds so fresh.
We travel on, the path is rough,
so many stones,so many hills,
but God is by our side.
We wonder as we walk the path,
we thought we left the wound
behind, yet still it lingers
there within.
Why, Lord, we ask, have You not
healed this wound of mine.
Then gently we hear Him speak
truth to our hearts,
"My child, forgiveness!" He says.
"Forgive the one who wounded you,
in doing so, you are set free."
As we walk the path of life,
forgiveness leaves a stonemark
along our way. It sets us free
and heals our wounds.
Forgive! For He forgives us!
We are free!
