A WORD FOR TODAY

Pecan Pie

Preheat oven 425°

1 unbaked pie shell ( see our no fail recipe)
3 eggs
2 Tbls. butter
2 Tbls. flour
1/1/2 c corn syrup (dark for sweeter, light for not as sweet taste) We prefer light, and everyone raves.
1/2c. sugar (white)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans

Melt butter, beat eggs and add all ingredients together except pecans. Sprinkle the bottom of the unbaked fluted edge crust, with the pecans. Pour the mixture over the pecans. Bake for 10 minutes at 425° then for 40 min at 325°

Creativity additions: You may use walnuts instead of pecans. Walnuts are good for cholesterol, too.

Happy Eating!
