"Part I"
Intro
Welcome. In this section, I will show you how to make your very own gifs. I will explain the uses of Animagic (a simple program that works). I will show you how to make frames, assemble them into gifs, and the do’s and don’ts of making gifs. I hope you find this section helpful. Because this section is up here, I will not take any emails one how to make gifs. This section will help you more than enough.
Animagic
First off, we’ll look at a few of the features in Animagic. I want to tell you first that I don’t recommend using this program. The interface is downright horrible, but for starting out, it works fine. Go to Downloads.com and search for “Animagic.” Download the free trial version (30 day trial). I downloaded the trial version about 6 monthes ago and it still works, so maybe you’ll get lucky and not have to buy a gif program.
I suggest using this program to start out since it does everything you need to do when you make your first gif-add the frames together and save it as a gif. That’s all you need to do, and that’s what this program does.
Once you get some experience making gifs, then I suggest buying a better program. There are many out there, so just search around.
Anyway, on with the features of Animagic.
I’m giving a brief run-through of this programs features, some of which you’ll be using later. Let’s just get familiar with them. Download the program, open it up, and follow along with me. I’m not going to go through everything, just the important stuff (some stuff I have no clue what it does!).
