Nameks

Dende

Other Dende, the pint sized Namek. Like many other Nameks, Dende is "son" of Guru. He is part of the clan of Nameks that can make Dragonballs. Dende’s primary job is a healer. He can heal anybody back to full health. He used this power many times during the fight against Frieza. Frieza, seeing that Dende was the reason people weren’t dying, killed him. This hindered the team. A wish was made with the earth Dragonballs to bring back everybody Frieza killed, and Dende was back in business. Dende was told to go to the Namekian Dragon Purunga and wish everybody on Planet Namek to earth except Goku and Frieza. Dende did this. Planet Namek exploded and Dende and all the other Nameks were stuck on earth for 2/3 of an earth year. They shacked up with Capsule Corp. during this time. Gohan and Dende became close friends during this time. Dende left to the new Planet Namek with the rest of the Nameks. Goku later came to get Dende during the Cell Saga. Dende was brought to earth and became the new Kami, or God. Dende also reconstructed the earth dragon Shenlong, but this time, Shenlong could make two wishes.

Kami

Other Kami is the guardian of earth, or God. He watches over earth and makes sure the earth is protected from evil. Before Kami could take over the job of God, the previous Kami said that he had too much evil in himself, and had to split it out. Kami split into two people, one evil, one good. The evil half was Piccolo Daimao, or the Devil. The Namek assumed the throne of Kami. As Kami, you are not to interfere with anybody on earth. Kami does do this occasionally. He first trained Goku, who found his way up to Kami’s palace. Kami first had Goku train with his assistant, Mr. Popo. Mr. Popo lives with Kami and is Kami’s good friend. Nobody really knows why Mr. Popo lives up there. After training Goku, Kami trained Tenshinhan, Krillin, Yamcha, Chaozu, and Yajirobe. One thing about Kami is that him and Piccolo are connected, meaning that if one dies, both die. Kami dies when Piccolo died at Nappa’s hand. Kami was later brought back to life. During the Android Saga, Kami realized that the Androids could easily destroy the earth. Kami made a very important decision, he had to fuse with Piccolo or else the earth would fall. After this little stunt, Kami was out of control of his body. Control was given to Piccolo.

Morry

Other Morry (not sure if it’s spelled right) is the was named leader of the Nameks after Guru died. Not much is known about Morry, but he may have taken a big part in raising Dende.

Nail

Other Nail is one of Guru’s children. Nail is a very powerful Namek who has the privilege of protecting Guru. Nail is the most strongest Namek, aside from Piccolo. Frieza came to Guru, wanting to know the password for the dragonballs. Nail led Frieza away, the battled him. Nail severely lost. When Piccolo came to Namek, he went after Frieza right away. Along to way to him, Piccolo ran across Nail. Nail told Piccolo to fuse with him, because he’d seen Frieza’s power, and knew Piccolo had no chance. Piccolo, being the stubborn Namek he is, decided to fuse with Nail after a time. Nail and Piccolo were now one, but Piccolo was used as the "base," so the combo looked like Piccolo. But they were much stronger than before, and Piccolo had all of Nail’s knowledge and memories.

Piccolo Daimao

Other Piccolo Daimao, or just Piccolo as I’ll call him here, is the first form of Piccolo. Piccolo is the evil side of Kami, which you all know, Kami split into evil and good forms. Kami is God, and Piccolo is the Devil. Piccolo is just as old as Kami. Piccolo only appeared in Dragonball. He arose from somewhere, and brought with demons from the underworld. Piccolo’s goal was to conquer the world. He sent his demons out to start this operation, but they ran into Goku and were defeated. Piccolo took matters into his own hand. He summoned the Eternal Dragon with the Dragonballs, and wished to be restored to his former power. After he did that, he shot a blast at the Eternal Dragon Shenlong, killing it. Nobody could stop him and Piccolo took over the world. There are 40+ "sectors" in the DB world, and Piccolo said he would destroy one sector every year, and he proceeded to destroy the first one. He said the people of earth have at the most, a little over 40 years to live. Tenshinhan had what is known as a Denshi Jar, and when the right word was said, evil beings could be trapped in the jar forever. Master Roshi tried this once but failed. Tenshinhan tried it, but the jar got broken. Tenshinhan was defeated. Goku went and attacked Piccolo. Piccolo Daimao was too strong for Goku, and Goku was loosing bad against him. Piccolo broke both of Goku’s legs, and one arm. Goku was basically finished here. Piccolo strutted around, happy that he defeated Goku, but Goku used his ki to propel himself towards the Devil. He stuck his one good arm at when he did this, and flew right through Piccolo Daimao. Piccolo was defeated at this, and almost dead. Before he died, Piccolo reproduced. An egg formed in his mouth, then he threw it far away. Inside the egg was to Piccolo everybody knows from DBZ. Piccolo was just a babe, but he still knew everything his "father" knew. Daimao died after this.
Piccolo Daimao was a very good villain, just short lived. He did conquer the world, so you have to give him credit there, but after the world was conquer, it seems like he didn’t know what to do with it. Sure, it might be fun destroying sectors of the world, but almost after 40 years, your fun would be over, since everything is gone. Then what would you do? Who knows?

Piccolo, Piccolo Jr., Ma Jr.

Other Piccolo is the most powerful Namek. He is the strong silent type of person. Early on in is life, Piccolo wanted to conquer the world, but as time progressed, this was eventually stopped. Piccolo spends most of his day meditating. Meditating is his way of training. In late Dragonball, Piccolo entered a Tenkaichi Budokai tournament. He planned on taking over the world, and the reason for entering the tournament was to eliminate the most powerful fighters in the world. The battles went on until it was down to Goku. Piccolo broke Goku’s arms/legs, but Goku eventually beat Piccolo. Before Goku left the tournament, he gave Piccolo a sensu bean, which was totally unexpected. Piccolo continued the train, and fought his next battle against Raditz, where he killed Goku and Raditz and kidnapped Gohan and trained him. Piccolo became very attached to Gohan during their time together and versa-vice. Piccolo took a big part in the fight against Nappa, using many of his techniques. Piccolo died here while protecting Gohan. While in the afterlife, Piccolo refused to train under King Kai. Piccolo was brought back to life and returned to Namek for the first time. He fused with Nail and fought Frieza, but lost. Life went on and the Android Saga started. Everybody learned of Cell and Piccolo went to Kami. Kami knew Cell could possibly get very powerful, so Kami fused with Pic. Piccolo went to fight Cell, and could’ve beaten him very easily, but Cell escaped. Piccolo went to fight #17, but the fight ended in a draw. Like many others, Piccolo trained in the Room of Spirit and Time, but never got to fight Cell until the end, but even then, he was no match. The Buu Saga is similar to this, Piccolo not fighting much. He did fight Buu, but only to stall him. Buu was going up to the Room of Spirit and Time to fight Trunks and Goten, and Piccolo was stalling to give the boys more time to train. Buu got in and Piccolo followed. Buu fought Gotenks and it looked like Buu would win. Piccolo blew up the door out of the room, sealing everybody inside. Buu escaped and Gotenks and Piccolo just kind of looked at each other. They escaped though.
Piccolo never was a main character in the show. He was at the height of his power when he fused with Kami. He was the most powerful figure at this time. As the Saiya-jins slowly took over the show, Piccolo slowly got pushed back. But Piccolo will always protect Gohan, even if it’s no use. Gohan is almost like an adopted son for Piccolo. As Piccolo grows older, he becomes less reckless and thinks things through.

Slug

Other Slug is the main villain in DBZ Movie 4. Him and his crew were on a planetoid, heading toward earth. Everybody thought the planetoid was going to hit, but exploded before it did. Slug and his men landed on earth when this happened, and planned to turn it into a new home base. Slug read Bulma’s mind and found out about the Dragonballs. He quickly collected them and wished to be restored to his youth again, since he was very old. He got his wish and was as fit as a whistle. His men attacked Piccolo, Gohan, Goku, et cetera, but were defeated. Whoop-di-do. Then Goku went after Slug. Slug trashed Goku. Goku transformed into the highly disputed Super Saiya-jin (his hair was black though) and stated trashing Slug. Then Slug reviled to everybody that he was a Namek (it was obvious) and grew many times his own size. He trashed Goku again. Piccolo told Gohan to start whistling, since a Namek can’t stand hearing a human whistle. Gohan did and this hurt Slug a lot. Goku saw an opportunity and flew through Slug’s stomach, ending his career as a villain.

These Two Guys

Other These guys aren’t really Nameks, but in the series we say them posed as Nameks the most, so that’s why they’re here. If any body knows their real names, tell me. Basically these people know how to create powerful illusions. They were zipping through space one day and crash landed on a small planet and had no way of escaping. Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan came along in their space and landed on the planet, thinking it was Namek. Their landing wasn’t the greatest and they were kind of knocked out. These two guys saw this as an opportunity to escape the planet. They went inside the ship and read everybody’s minds and thoughts. When Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan awoke, they found themselves near two "Nameks." These two guys had put an illusion around themselves, making themselves look like Nameks. Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan believed. The two imposters took the three on a field trip all over the illusionary planet, collecting what they thought were "dragonballs." Eventually, Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan were captured by some monsters and the two aliens spilled the beans and ran off to fly away in the spaceship. Krillin and Gohan got free and went to kick some alien butt, leaving the two stranded on the planet once again.
