Mild burns, such as sunburn, may be assisted in healing through natural means. For burns resulting in moderate or severe pain or blistering, evaluation by a health care professional is recommended.
The Aloe Vera plant itself can be very useful with skin wounds and burns. If you have this plant in your home, when you have an abrasion to the skin, after cleaning the wound, break off a small tip of one of the leaves of your Aloe plant and squeeze out the gel type substance inside the leaf, and apply to your wound. If it is a minor burn, apply immediately without cleaning (if the wound is otherwise clean) as cleaning could worsen the injury.
In any "more serious" injuries or burns to your body, seek Immediate help from your Health Care Professional!
