F A I T H
Tenets of Faith
I
believe in one God, existing eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy
Ghost.
I
believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man without ceasing
to be God, in order that He might reveal God the Father, and redeem sinful man,
through His death, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father.
I
believe that the Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father through the Son, the Lord
Jesus Christ, to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment,
and, to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, and seal those who believe in Jesus
Christ as Savior and Lord.
I
believe that salvation is the gift of God, given to man by grace and received by
personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the
cross for the forgiveness of sins.
I
believe that God anointed the Lord Jesus Christ with the Holy Ghost and with
power during His earthly ministry, and, that Jesus Christ went about doing good,
and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him.
I
believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and is
still delivering mankind from sin, Satanic bondage, and sickness, as He sits at
the right hand of God the Father. He
is the Greatest among us, and is our Minister.
I
believe in the water baptism of believers, symbolizing the believer’s
acknowledgment of his union with the death
and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I believe that water baptism
is a decision that must be made at a responsible age.
I
believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper, commemorating the sacrifice of
our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, for all mankind.
I
believe that the life of the believer is to be separated from the world, but
must cleave to the Great Commission responsibility, there-by going into the
world to make disciples of all to whom he or she is called.
I
believe in the personal and visible and
bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth.
