HOW TO REACH:
There is a very good road from Srinagar to Gulmarg which passes through rice fields and popular avenues. From Tangmarg magiestic pines line the way. Riding enthusiasts can take Ponies from Tangmarg.

EXCURSIONS
OUTER CIRCULAR WALK: This road girdles Gulmarg through pine scented forests providing a panoramic view across the Valley of the massifs of Nanga Parbat, Harmukh, Sunset Peak and Apharwat Ridge.
KHILANMARG: Carpeted with wild flowers, Khilanmarg is a 40 minute trek from Gulmarg. An unrivalled sp[ectacle of peaks and the shimmering waters of Wular and other lakes.
ALPATHER LAKE: Nestled in a hollow under the shadow of Apharwat mountain. Triangular and deep turquoise, the lake is flecked with floating ice and is connected with miniature tarns in the neighbourhood. A Pony trac joins Gulmarg with Apharwat ridge.
NINGLI NALLAH: About 8 km from Gularg, it flows from the snow bed and springs near Apharwat and Alpather and cuts through deep pipe forests offering many enchanting picnic sports.
LIEN MARG: The path to Lien Marg weaves through forests of pine and a succession of glades. The graceful grass covered `Marg' offers excellent camping grounds.
BABA RESHI: The shrine of the saint, Shukruddin, is enclosed with beautiful lattice work shutters and is surrounded by a verandah of carved deodar. People of many faiths come here to make a wish.
