Ever had that feeling of immense pride when you see Mansun mentioned in really unexpected places? Well I have, and here is a little section of artifacts that mention Mansun.
Lets start with the simple crosswords in NME. There's another below but I'm sure that I've missed loads in the past.In case you can't read it, you probably can't, it says "Their numbers include Egg Shaped Fred and Take It Easy Chicken". Wow, now that is difficult.
This is the strangest. Taken from the inflight magazines on an Iberia flight I almost fell out of my seat when I saw this, I mean, look at the company kept ny Mansun on the playlist: Britney, a load of dance stuff etc. And not only that but it wasn't even the single version, it was the full length album version leaving me completely at peace. Sigh. And also, another odd-one-out is iDLEWiLD, now why are they there.
This is a flyer for an under-18s clubnight at my local venue the Colchetser Arts Centre. Incidently, i didn't go but at the full-on version they played Being A Girl. But then I do know the dj and I did kinda force him to play it.
Another crossword one. 'Nuff said. "A Verve track called 'Man Called Sun' proved inspirational to who"
From a completely useless story in NME about how you have to be short to be successful, but then mention a whole load of tall people who are 'the exception'. Bollocks, just face it, you didn't have any stories that week.
That's it for now but if you see any, mail them to me. Cheers.
