So What’s Going On?

The show last night went very well, Venus In Furs played a live set of several songs including some new material they have been working on.

They played until almost 3AM which is longer than most any band has played on the program. Lots of Mountain Dew and Diet Pepsi responsible for the lasting energy.

The show sounded very good over KVMI and we got listener comments from people on line that were now able to listen to the over-the-air signal whereas before they could only listen on line. We still have some technical improvements to make to get the signal from our studio as good as possible to the transmitter of KVMI.

A big thank you again to Venus In Furs for takeing the time to bring all their stuff over and stay up 'til the wee hours of the morning to play live for a new audience over KVMI, and to the owner of KVMI for making this all possible. Isn't Non-Corporate Independant radio GREAT!!!

Last Saturday Night's show marks the fifth show we've been able to do with KVMI-FM. All seems to be going well, and it may be awhile before they get their new studios built, insureing our future on their station for a while yet. Of the last five shows, we've had four bands play live in our studio, the second show was to be with Obsidian, but because of a sick band member, they had to cancel at the last minute. I do want to thank Venus in Furs, The Deoys, The Decomposeurs, and finally Red Light District for coming over and playing live until the wee hours of the morning. Thats what makes our show unique to this market. No other radio station in this town dares to let local bands play live on their station.

There are some changes in the works for the show, we are looking for sponsors to help pay for the electrical bill out at the transmitter, and we are looking for more bands that would like to play live on the show. Just email us with any details of when you can play and we'll set up a time.

Also we will try to post video clips of some of the bands that play live during our show on this website as we already have, but its a labor intensive effort and may take awhile to post them. Audio clips of songs played live will also be added, since they are easier to do we should be able to do them more often.
