~A Tribute to Dave Van Ronk~
Sunday, May 18, 2003 has been declared "Dave Van Ronk Day" by the New York City Council. The street on which he lived will be renamed Dave Van Ronk Street,
and musicians will celebrate the spirit and legacy of "The Mayor of MacDougal Street" at The Bottom Line in Greenwich Village for 2 shows at 3 & 8:30pm.
I was one of 70 folk djs from around the world joining in on the celebration, which began on May 11th.
