Island Of Feelings
Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived:
Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge and all of the others including Love.
One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their
boats and left. Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment.
When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help.
Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't.. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat.
There is no place here for you."
Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel,
"Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness, let me go with you."
Oh...Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"
Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her!
Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an elder.
Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the elder her name.
When they arrived on dry land, the elder went her own way.
Love realizing how much he owed the elder asked Knowledge, another elder,
" Who helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked Love.
"But why did Time help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep Wisdom and answered,
"Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."

In Loving...
There was a time in my life I became afraid to fall in love.
Because everytime I fell in love, I got hurt. I thought maybe that's why it's called "falling" in love.
I would give my all, loving deeply and wholeheartedly. It would be a truly emotional, extremely euphoric experience.
I would be dreaming about the object of my affection all day and all night, imagining good times together,
thinking of what I can do or buy for him to show how much I care. I would feel light as a feather,
energized and excited, literally blooming with the joy I feel inside. Then somehow something would go wrong and my whole
world would crash. Disappointment. Resentment. Anger.Pain. Why? Can we not love without feeling pain? Is it really
a price to pay for all the happiness we feel when we're in love? Should we just accept that because we love we
risk getting hurt? It was only after many years of
soul-searching and reading inspirational writings that I realized that we can love without getting hurt.
Only recently did I understand what unconditional love is all about. Love is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. It is the fire that burns inside, the essence
of being. Love is the source of all our comfort and contentment. It is a precious gift that defines our
purpose in life. If we keep in mind that we can indeed preserve its true meaning, we can love to the fullest
and be happy the rest of our lives.Accept that other people express love differently. How do you express love? You say "I love you" three
times a day, you kiss and embrace as often as you can, you never forget anniversaries, you always prepare his
favorite dishes. How does he express love? He rarely says "I love you", he seldom kisses you, he forgets
our birthday, and he doesn't know how to cook. But he works overtime, walks the dog, takes out the garbage,
takes you to the movies, and calls you "Honey". He probably loves you more than you can imagine, he just
shows it differently. If you can accept that then you will have a healthier perspective of your relationship.
Derive happiness from giving love. When you love, do
it because you want to. There is indescribable joy in loving. Just give it. And cherish the satisfaction in
having given someone something of yourself. It's like giving a gift. Whether it is appreciated or not, findjoy in simply giving. Love without expecting anything in return.
This is where pain comes in.. when you demand something in return for the love you give. You are setting yourself
up for disappointment because love cannot always be reciprocal. Love between two people can never be of the
same intensity at the same time and place. No matter how much your partner loves you, she will never be able
to fill all your needs all the time. And you will be in the worst situation if you believe you should love
only when you are sure to receive equal love in return. You will be waiting in misery forever.
Love now. The past is gone and the future is just a
dream. All of yesterday's aches and pains, as well as the loves and laughter, are mere memories. Let them go.
Fantasies and worries are for a future that may never come. Don't dwell on them. Live now. Give love now. Do
it now and enjoy it now. That is the secret of genuinecontentment. * Throw away those destructive habits. When you insist
upon yourself that you always have to be in control, that you always have to be right, that others must
always please you, you put yourself in a very tight
spot. Loving relationships are flexible, dynamic, and
evolving. Leave room for change and interaction. Allow
for new behavior and learning experiences. When we
welcome these into our lives, we open ourselves to
sharing more love and affection and less frustration and pain.
~~Yes, you will say that unconditional love is easier
said than done. I agree. Especially when we have always
believed that love is give and take. But try believing
that love is simply giving. And you will be surprised
that a lot of it, even more, actually comes back to you.

Love is like waiting a Bus....
When the bus come, you look at it and you said to
yourself, "eeee... so
full...cannot sit down one". So you said to
yourself, "I'll wait for the
next one." so you let the bus go and waited for the
second bus. Then the
second bus came, you looked at it and you said,
"eeee... this bus so
old...surely very uncomfortable one." so you let
the bus go and decided to
wait for the next bus. After a while, another bus came. It's not crowded and
not old but you said,
"eeee... no air-con one...and the weather is so
warm, better wait for the
next one." so again you let the bus go and decided
to wait for the next bus.
Then the sky started to get dark as it is getting
late. You panicked and
jumped on to the next on coming bus. It is not
until much later that you
found out that you had boarded on to the wrong bus!
So you wasted your time
and money waiting for what you want! Even if an
aircon bus came can you
ensure that the aircon bus won't break down or will
the aircon be too cold
for you?
So people... (mostly girls but guys too!) want to
make sure that what you
want is not wrong. But it wouldn't hurt to give
other people a chance,
right? If you found that the "bus" doesn't suit you
just press the red
button and get off the bus!
But wait... I am sure all of you have this
experienced before. You saw a
bus is coming (the bus you want of course) you
flagged it and the driver
acted blur by pretending not seeing you and zoomed
pass you!The bottom line of being loved is like waiting for a
bus and whether you
want to get on the bus and give the bus a chance
depends totally on you and
walking alone is just like being out of love.
If you love someone set him/her free. If he/she
comes back to you, you know
they're yours. If they don't then it was never meant
to be. Remember to
always say what you mean.If you love someone, tell. Don't be afraid to
express yourself. Reach out
and tell someone what they mean to you. Because when
you decide that it is
the right time,it might be too late.Seize the day. Never have regrets. And most
importantly, stay close to your
friends and family, for they have helped make you
the person that you are
today.

A Teardrop is Beautiful
Two little teardrops were floating down the river of life.
One drop said to the other, "I am the teardrop of a man who loved a girl
and lost her."Who are you? "Well, I am the teardrop of the guy who won
her" replied the other.
Love is very strange. Love is unconditional commitment to an imperfect
individual. You need it but when you love, it's like destining yourself
for pain. You become addicted and dependent on the person. You become
strong and at the same time, you open yourself up to being hurt. Love can
make you bear any kind of pain and any kind of sacrifice. It
can also make you feel stupid and act stupidly. Sometimes when you love
and end up giving so much of ourself, you only discover how much you've
given. When the person you love hurts you or has to say goodbye. Then
you realise, an important part of yourself is already with that person.
It goes away when he or she leaves and you are left with a sickening, empty feeling inside.
Tears are bound to be shed from your eyes no matter how you force yourself to keep them in.
Most teardrops ever shed on this earth have been for love or lack of it. When tears dry, a silent
loss sticks to your heart for a long, long time. Well, that's what you
get for caring so much about someone. But how can you regret it? To
give yourself freely and lovingly is the most beautiful thing you can do.
Loving makes you real. Loving also makes you cry. And that is why a
teardrop is also BEAUTIFUL. Because it is real and it comes from within
your heart and your emotions.

Butterfly
A man found a cocoon for a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared,
he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force
its body through the little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress.
It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no farther.
Then the man decided to help the butterfly.
He took a pair of scissors and snipped the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. Something was strange.
The butterfly had a swollen body and shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected at any moment,
the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would
contract in time. Neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its
life crawling around with a swollen body and deformed wings. It was never able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand, was that the restricting
cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the smallopening of
the cocoon are God`s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings
so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If God allowed us to go throughall our life without any obstacles, that would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Not only that, we could never fly.
