Dale's RAW Report for March 29, 1999

• They show clips of losing the World Title at September 1998 In Your House: Breakdown and regaining it from Rocky Maivia yesterday at Wrestlemania 15

• Regular Intro for RAW

• Steve Austin comes to the ring with a huge pop
• Austin asks the crowd to give him a "Hell Yeah" and they do
• Austin talks about beating Rocky yesterday
• Austin says he doesn't want the WWF belt and tells Vince McMhan to come out so he can relinquish it to him
• Vince slowly makes his way to the ring and grabs the belt and starts to leave
• Austin wants Vince to see some footage of stuff
• We see the IYH: Breakdown footage where Vince teased Austin saying the belt isn't his anymore
• We see footage of the RAW after Breakdown where Vince shows Austin's custom belt(the one with the skull and made out of snake skin instead of leather)and says he's gonna hang it over his fireplace
• Back to the ring, Austin says he wants his custom made belt back or he'll beat up Vince
• Vince reminded Austin if he physically assaults Austin he'll be fired
• Austin gets more footage on the titantron where Vince & Rocky attacked Austin after his match yesterday
• Austin said according to the contract if Vince physically assaulted him that Austin has control over Vince for 24 hours, and tells Vince to give him the belt before the show is over or he'll beat the heck out of him

• Austin poses in the ring then Vince wacks him with the belt and runs off, Austin recovers and says, "we're gonna do things the hard way now!"

• They show different shots of PMS, Tori, and Sable

• Ad for Wrestlemania 15 Encore

• Vince is telling his daughter, Stephanie McMhan to phone his home in Conneticuit and bring Austin's belt here

• Rescue of the Week: Nicole Bass attacking Tori, then Sable giving the powerbomb to her

MATCH 1: Sable & Jacquelyn vs. Ivory & Tori
WINNER: Tori & Ivory when Ivory pinned Jacquelyn by pinfall via belt shot from Sable followed by backslid pin from Tori(1:21)3/10

• Sable poses around in the ring
• The Ministry comes to the ring
• Undertaker grabs her and says he'll break her neck if Vince doesn't come to the ring
• Vince comes to the ring, and something must've picked up on Vince's radio cuz he yelled, "Stephanie" and ran back to his locker room
• When he got there all the security guards are knocked out, Shane's standing their like nothing happened, and Stephanie is gone, Vince goes absolutely nuts

• Vince and Shane are in back worried over Stephanie

• X-Pac comes to the ring
• X-Pac talks about how he came back to the WWF 1 year ago to help out DX
• Talks about Hunter Hearst Helmsley turning on him
• X-Pac says DX is still alive with himself and the Outlaws kicking ass every week

• X-Pac says he's gonna beat Helmsley tonight by saying, "Tonight your ass is grass, and I'm gonna smoke it!"

• In back Vince is trying to call the right authorities

• Footage shown of Paul Wight destroying Mankind yesterday

MATCH 2: "The Big Show" Paul Wight vs. Corporation's Test
WINNER: Paul Wight by pinfall via chokeslam(0:31)3/10

• Wight grabs the mic
• says he doesn't give a damn about Vince's personal trama now
• Talks about Vince trying to control him and make him do anything he wants

• says he's gonna destroy the Corporation soon

• Vince is in back with Shamrock telling him to go find Stephanie

• Shamrock is asking people in the arenan if they saw Stephanie

• Jim Ross joins the Spanish(!?) Commentary team for the next match

MATCH 3:(Hardcore Title Match) "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. "Hardcore" Bob Holly(champ)
WINNER: Bob Holly by pinfall via Al Snow nailing Williams with a frying pan(3:52)6/10

• They show Vince and Shane in back again all worried

MATCH 4: Corporation's "The Rock" Rocky Maivia vs. DX's "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn
WINNER: Rocky Maivia by pinfall via Rock Bottom followed by People's Elbow(5:09)7/10

• Vince is wondering if Shamrock has any new about Stephanie, Ken says he doesn't, but says he'll find her

MATCH 5: Brood's Gangrel vs. Corporation's Ken Shamrock
WINNER: Ken Shamrock by submission via Ankle Lock(5:34)8/10

• Shamrock won't let go of Ankle Lack
• Lights go out with red flickering and Brood music
• When lights come back on Ken is outside the ring covered in "blood" and has the Ankle Lock on Christian, demanding where Stephanie is
• Christian says she's in the basement, Ken lets go and he's really "In the Zone"

• They show Ken Shamrock looking in the basement for Stephanie McMhan

MATCH 6:(Intercontanental Title Match) Goldust vs. DX's "Road Dog" Jesse James(champ)
WINNER: Goldust by pinfall via belt shot from Blue Meanie followed by Curtain Call(3:56, Goldust's new champ)6/10

• Goldust grabs the mic
• he says the belt is like a poem
• Goldust says he knows who he really is now

• says something weird will happen really soon

• Shamrock finally finds Stephanie in the basement, who's crying and has the Undertaker symbol painted on her forehead, she makes her way out with Shamrock

• Vince and Shane is hugging Stephanie in back

• Owen Hart has a different design on his singlet that sorta looks like his "slammy award winning" singlet

MATCH 7:(Tag Titles Match) Legion of Doom vs. Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett(champs)
WINNERS: Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett when Owen pinned Animal via guitar shot from Jarrett(2:48)3/10

• They show a limo arriving with Steve Austin's custom belt

• Vince is in back with Stephanie, Shane, Shamrock, Brisco, & Patterson
• Vince tells Shamrock he'll be in debt to him forever
• The limo guy knocks on the door and gives Shane the belt
• Vince says he already suffered a lot tonight and tells Shane just to give Austin his belt and says he's gonna take Stephanie home
• Vince leaves with Stephanie, Brisco, & Patterson
• Shane tells Shamrock after all he went through he isn't gonna just "give" the belt to Austin and tells Shamrock to get Rocky

MATCH 8: DX's X-Pac vs. Corporation's Hunter Hearst Helmsley
WINNER: X-Pac by DQ via Chyna attacking him(3:36)4/10

• Chyna & Helmsley continue to attack X-Pac and Helsmley gives him the Pedigree
• lights go out and Kane comes to the ring
• Shane hides behind the announcers, as Chyna distracts Kane
• he turns around and Helmsley whacks him with a chair and leaves with Chyna
• Kane sits up and chases them out back
• Shane grabs the mic and says if Austin wants his custom belt he's gonna have to come to the ring and get it
• Shane brings out Rocky Maivia who has Austin's custom belt over his shoulder
• Rocky talks about, "layin' the smackdown" on Austin last night
• mentions it took 2 stunners to pin Rocky yesterday
• Austin runs to the ring and he and Rocky brawl
• Austin ends up nailing the Stunner on Shane
• when Austin turns around Rocky clocks Austin with the custom belt
• Rocky keeps on beating on Austin
• Test, Helmsley, and Rocky run to the ring to continue the beating
• Paul Wight runs in and him and Austin clear house
• Helmsley tries to sneak in a cheap shot, but gets a chokelam from Wight as the show went off the air

COMMENTS: Entertainment wise this show really kicked with the Stephanie abduction, the Goldust poem, X-Pac saying DX is still here, Austin wanting his belt back, Ministry about to destroy Sable, and the ending where Austin and Wight teamed up. Wrestling wise the show was ok, but the Tag Title Match, and Womens tag Match were short squash, "Heat" matches. The main event could've had a decent ending to, but I guess they'll save it for the April In Your House: Backlash PPV. The show was pretty good except for the two short matches and the screwjob main event, but gets an A-. C ya next week.
