Owen Hart Tribute Special
Hour 1 and 2 Commentators: Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler
Location: St. Louis, Missouri

• Owen Hart died yesterday at the Over the Edge PPV event. He was suppose to be "The Blue Blazer" and make a grand entrance from a harness from the top of the arena(ala Sting), but after he starte dto go down his harness malfunctioned and Owen fell 30-50 feet and landed head first onto a turnbuckle. EMT's rushed the ring and gave Owen CPR for 15 minutes before rushing him out of the arena. About 1 hour later Owen died in a Kansas City hospital. Tonight the whole show will be dedicated to Owen with various superstars commenting on Owen.

• Well, it's my return to reporting after a 1 and a half month hietas, and I picked a bad night to do it. I will always remember Owen for his great heel performing and how great he was in the tag ranks if thee WWF and didn't go fleeing off to WCW along with the Bulldog, The Anvil, or Bret Hart. God Rest Owen, I'll never forget you.

• Onto the show, we're live for two hours

• WWF Superstars and officials lineup at te ring entrace, they're all wearing wristbands that say "OH" and "Owen"

• Howard Finkel says, "Please stand and join the WWF Superstars as we toll the bell 10 times to pay our respects to Owen Hart"

• Bell Toll 10 times, we see lots of WWF athletes crying

• The Fink, "Now will you please turn your attention to the titantron as we take a look at a special video tribute of Owen Hart"

• We have Vince McMahon voiceover with a very moving segment: "On Sunday night a tragic accident took the life of Owen Hart, he was 34.

  There are no words that can express the profound sorrow felt today by so many of us who knew and loved this very special human being.

  Fans throughout the world shared a small portion of Owen's life through his various ring personas. But to know Owen Hart the human being was pure joy. Owen loved this business and lived to entertain both in, and out of the ring. He was a consummate performer and a legendary prankster. In the extended family of professional wrestlers respect does not come easily and is not taken lightly. Owen Hart had that respect. He was more than just one of the boys...he was a friend and a brother to all. Our locker room and our lives will never be the same.

  A loving son, brother, uncle, husband and father, Owen is survived by his wife Martha, his son Oje and his daughter Athena. Our prayers go out to them and the entire Hart family. With heavy hearts and the deepest of sympathies for his family we say good-bye. If the legacy of a man's life is measured by the lives he touched and how much he is loved....then a big piece of Owen Hart will live on - in all of us."

• At ringside Lawler talks about how he went to the ring after Owen fell and held Owen's head in his hands and said he can tell Owen wanted to tell his Wife and kids how much he loved them

• Steve Austin music hits and he comes to the ring, he grabs two steveweisers and looks at the titantron with a still of Owen Hart says something(I don't know if I read his lips right, but it looked like he said, "Owen, I miss you" or "Owen, I love you") and drinks a beer

• Ross ends the show by saying very sadly "Owen, we all miss you!" We then see a still of Owen with a canadien flag and a thumbs up until it fades to black

• Trivia Answer: Wrestlemania 11 where Owen Hart and Yokozuna won the Tag Team Titles from the Smoking Gunns(Billy Gunn and Bart Gunn)

COMMENTS: This was a pretty damn good way for the WWF to say goodbye to Owen Hart. I was practically crying throughout the whole thing. And I never realized until now how great Owen Hart really was. That's all I can say and I definitely know Owen is in a better place. The show gets an A+++++++++++++. C ya next week and godspeed Owen.
