My interview with Earl Stanley. He said when he heard about the Sept. 11 attacks he was adjusting a carburetor on a customer's truck. He was shocked to hear that it had happened. He feels that the Sept. 11 attack has had no affect on him personally. He still thinks that we should go to war to gain retribution for what was done.
I, Alicia Earles, was at a VICA meeting when Mr. Anderson came in and told us a bomb had been set off in the WTC and the Pentagon. The people around me all snickered because we all thought that he was joking. when we got back to the classroom, we all went on the Internet and saw what was happening. Everybody told me we weren't going to go to war, but I knew we would because we're not a country that would let something like that happen and not do anything about it. It has not affected me personally; but I do feel that going to war is the right thing to do. Otherwise everybody would think we are pushovers and they can take advantage of us.
