Playing a Player

It's a delicate balancing act, playing a player as perplexing as Leo, After all, this young man has serious issues with both his mother and half brother, and has had ladies from Becca to Greenlee to Laura take tugs at his heartstrings. As such, Leo's portrayer works so hard to keep the transplanted Euro-stud as complex as he can.

"Fighting for the integrity of this character is important to me," Josh Duhamel attests, explaining that he forever seeks to give Leo layers. "Whenever a scene calls for him to be supportive, I try to bring sarcasm and edginess to it, And whenn he hast o be real nasty, I try to bring a reluctancy to it- as if he has to do it, rather than just wanting to be cold-hearted." Keeping viewers guessing, after all, is the audience doesn't like Leo for something he does, so be it," Duhamel states.

"That's part of what a love-to-hate character is all about."
