Behind The Scenes by SOD

Do you have input on how your character is dressed?

"I have a little more input now than I used to. When Leo came on, he was very European looking, but I think his look has relaxed a little; he's not as together, which I like. I don't like everything to match. Plus, with my new haircut, they have to dress me more hippie-like. They tend to dress me a little more retro; I look like a Beatle now."

Who in the cast is the most opposite of their character in real life?

"David Canary is completely different from Adam; he's just as humble as can be, a really good person. I'd love to be like him. And Susan Lucci is nothing like Erica Kane. I was totally intimidated by her; she's half my size and I was [so] intimidated. But she's just so nice."

Would you play a practical joke on her? "I wouldn't go that far."

How would you describe your dressing room?

"SANFORD AND SON. When I'm there a lot, picking up after myself is my last priority. By the end of the week, it's just a disaster area. I go through once a month and clean the place up. Thank God, I don't share; nobody would want to. I don't really have it decorated; I don't want to be too comfortable when I'm in there. I just want to be there to work."

What's your worst behind-the-scenes memory?

"My most vivid one is when I dropped Rebecca Budig [Greenlee] on her head; it was the worst feeling of my life because it was all me and I did this to this person. I was carrying her and she leaned back a little bit and I dropped her on the corner of the bed. She was bleeding all over the place; they had to bring a stretcher and everything. It was humiliating and I felt awful."

What are your favorite scenes to play?

"I like the stuff that's character driven. I don't care for the plot-driven stuff. Whether it's romantic, funny or dramatic, as long as it's good interaction between characters, I love that stuff."
