"Leo comes home to find
the place torn apart," continues Duhamel. "Greenlee calls and tells him Vanessa
has her. There's immediate panic. Vanessa gets on the phone and tells him to
meet them at this park. There's a waterfall there, and a lookout point. They
built an amazing set. Leo ends up finding out that all the money that he thought
was tied up in stocks is actually worthless. It's all in diamonds. Vanessa tells
Leo to get it and then she'll let Greenlee go. [But] her full intention is to
kill Greenlee."
The only thing
Vanessa has a firm grip on is the gun. "She's lost it completely," says Duhamel.
Knowing that
diamonds are his mom's best friend, Leo retrieves them and orders Vanessa to let
Greenlee go. She refuses, so Leo starts dropping the diamonds one by one into
the water, "She's got a gun to Greenlee's head and she's just freaking out,"
says the actor.
Greenlee and
Vanessa struggle, leading Greenlee to fall of a ledge. Thinking Greenlee is
dead, a devastated Leo charges at Vanessa and ...... well, don't miss Thursday's
episode.
"I couldn't have
gotten any luckier than playing this character on this show," says Duhamel who's
leaving "All My Children."
"Leo was a flawed
guy. The more flawed the characters are, the more people can understand them.
The more realistic they are, the more interesting. Everything just fell into
place for me here."
Especially a few
months ago, when he won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting
Actor.
