Huzzah and Good Cheer. I bid thee all Welcome here!!
Its seems like forever since I have been attending Renaissance Festivals. I have been to two major ones in my life, the one they hold in MN near the Twin Cities...This major ones draws attractions like Puke and Snot, Bill the Awsome Jugler and many other artisans
. If you ever get the chance of checking it out...DO SO!! It is grand fun. They are open for about five weekends in the fall, each one carring their own theme. Highland Game, Irish Weekend, Family Weekend, Wine tasting weekend and afew other ones that I just cant remember at the moment. It seems like we also make it down for the boys in Kilts during the Highland Games or Irishfest.
The other "Ren Fest" I have been to was in Toledo Ohio
and it was quite small, so small that I realy
dont remember anything about it, Tis Sad!! But if your in the area of Ohio, stop by and check it out...Its still worth going to for its grand Smoked Turkey Drumsticks!! Yeah Baby Yeah!!!
I do beleive that getting there is as much fun as the Fest its self. Usualy its Trinity, my cohort in crime in creating
A Chamber of a Journeya website dedicated to Moulin Rouge
and maybe another "Virgin" on the outing. A virgin is someone who hasnt gone yet, hasnt experianced the fun and hasnt come to experiance all the wet hay!!
Day 1
We take off in usualy early on a Friday morn to make a day of driving seem less mundane and goof around downtown on Nicolet Ave...A grand mile of
eccetic shops where anybody can almost find anything! We usualy lunch at Brit's Pub, a very very tastie British pub...A MUST if your in the downtown area!! After a day of buying and walking, we are usualy dead by then so we head back to our hotel for late pizza and a good night of snoozing before the BIG DAY!!!!!
Day 2We call in for a wake up call for usualy around 7 and are awoken to a buzzing telephone....We make it to the front gate around 7:45 and folks...GET THERE EARLY!!! Parking starts somewhere in the year 1400 and the last row is like 2002....WAY FAR IN THE BACK!!! You realy dont want to walk
the hike if it is raining...It major sucks (or as Trin and I do...Splass people as we walk past them..Hehe) The Doors open around 8am with a grand little talk about before hand with some peasants before the King arrives.....Fan Faire, THE KING ARRIVES!!!!! HUZZAH!!!! The king orders the canon to fire to open the day and the day begins.
I realy cant discribed what else happens inside for that would wreck the merriment..Just go and discover the Ren yourself!!
