1906 A. PHI. A. Jewels

Jewel Henry Arthur Callis-

Jewel Callis was the first secretary of the Alpha chapter.  After leaving Cornell University, became a doctor and was stationed at the Government Hospital in Tuskeegee, Alabama.  In 1909 he was the General Vice-President of the Fraternity and became the seventh General President in 1915.  Jewel Callis entered the Omega Chapter in 1974.

Jewel Eugene Kinkle Jones-

Jewel Jones was indeed a treasure to Alpha.  He has the distinction of being one of the first initiates as well as one of the Jewels of the Fraternity.  He was the second president of the Alpha Chapteras well as maker of the Beta, Gamma and Delta chapters.  Upon leaving Cornell,he served as the Executive Secretary of the National Urban League.  Jewel Jones entered the Omega Chapter in 1954.

Jewel George Biddle Kelley-

Jewel Kelley was the first president of the Alpha Chapter and is also given the honor of naming the fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha.  Upon leaving Cornell University, while still extremely active in all fraternity business, he became a Civil Engineer and entered the service of the state of  New York. Jewel Kelly entered the Omega Chapter in 1962.

Jewel Charles Henry Chapman-

Jewel Chapman was one of the leading proponents of the spirit of the fraternity. After graduating from Cornell University Jewel Chapman became an educator at Florida A&M. He entered the Omega
Chapter in 1934.

Jewel Ogle

was the first secretary of the Alpha chapter as well as proposing the fraternity colors.  After leaving Cornell University he entered the secretarial field and worked for Office of the Committee on Appropriations of the United States Senate.  Jewel Ogle entered the Omega Chapter in 1936.

Jewel Nathanial Allison Murray-

Jewel Murray did graduate and undergraduate work at Cornell University.  After leaving Cornell, he became an educator at Armstrong Technical High School.  Jewel Murray entered the Omega Chapter in 1959.

Jewel Vertner Woodson Tandy- 

Jewel Tandy was the first tresurer at the Alpha Chapter.  After leaving Cornell he became a registered architect in the state of New York.  Jewel Tandy entered the Omega Chapter in 1949.
