The show was amazing. Once we got inside (metrotix sucks) they had everybody
huddled on one side of the bar, waiting to get into the show. CAstor opened
and were good. The Promise ring was a little to poppy punky for me. Good
energy though. We made our way to the front, giving beers to the crowd and
making friends on the way. Some guy told me to fuck off when I said hi to
him. I then wanted to know what his problem was and he just kept yelling at
me to leave him alone, then he called me a bootlicker or something. I was
confused, so I went on with my life. The show was killer. I have the setlist
somewhere. The hilights for me were "I'd like your hair long", Green to me,
IRON CLAD LOU, I hate it too and Winder, which was the closer.
This big guy
wearing a leather jacket with spikes on it was moshing behind us and he kept
hitting me with his spikes, so i was forced to mosh to end his tyranny.
Wallball and myself cleaned house. The pit was small, but good. We got to
talk to bryan before and after the show. After he did a sound check for the
drums, i offered him a beer. I had talked to him earlier and told him that i
had one with his name on it. So, i held it up and he came out to the end of
the stage and said to find him after the show. I gave him the beer later. It
was cool. My friends got a couple set lists signed. It was a good show.

I saw HUM at the galaxy last night with Castor--who were okay--and The
Promise Ring (who personally I liked back when they were called Operation
Ivy--sorry for the sarcasm;)).
The show was tremendous. Expect a video
and audio recording--I did an audio of the show, but ran out of tape--I
flipped it way too soon, but a local cable access station video taped it
and did a DAT of it, and I will hopefully procure a copy soon.
The tape I
recorded was about B quality--not bad for an analog (and having some dumb
assed "Woo-woo!" boy right behind me.
I wussed out on the KC show. I have to teach tomorrow, and getting home
at 2:00 AM ain't too conducive to that.
Anyway, Martians, go home.
