~*Chapter Three*~
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Lately every thing I do seems to get on Brian’s nerves. I don’t mean to do it, but somehow I get him angry at me, and then he gets that look in his eyes. I just comply to whatever he says then, because believe me, you never want to get Brian angry.
I don’t know… he puts on this innocent face everytime AJ and the rest of the guys are around, especially Kevin, ‘cos of the whole cousin thing. But I think I’m the only one who knows what he’s really like.
He’s such a nice guy - usually. And I don’t want to say anything bad about him, because I know that it’s not his fault when he gets that way. I know that I do things to make him agitated, and then the whole alcohol issue doesn’t help. I mean, he never gets drunk, but then again, he’s never completely sober. A beer here, a beer there. But, then again, if he’s going on stage, he’ll be completely fine, just a bit tense.
Anyways, I digress. This diary, although it may be a collection of the thoughts and situations that shape me life, is not a place to scorn others.
Finally, some exciting news. I was at the market today, picking up some food for the party Brian and I are throwing for everyone on Saturday. The weirdest thing happened. I noticed this gentleman staring at me. He seemed to be following me, and I guess I got kinda of scared. But you know me, I never let anyone get the better of me. So I marched straight up to him, and asked him what the deal was. You know, straight up, no bull shit.
He turns to me, and get this, asks me if I have ever modeled. I’m taken aback, because no one ever asked me that in the US before. After a momentary pause, I admit that yes, I had done some modeling work before. So he hands me this phone number, and asks me to call for an appointment.
So, I’m still standing in the market, shell-shocked, totally amazed. This guy is almost laughing at my shock. He reaches out to shake my hand, saying ‘Nice to meet you Natalie", and walks off.
So I rush home and tell Brian. That’s when he got angry at me. He started ranting and raving about how you should never trust anyone, especially people that hand you business cards, goodness knows why!
And he then finally calmed down enough to see who the guy was who gave me the card. Well, didn’t that get him started again! Apparently, he knows the guy, who’s name is Grant Thorpe, by the way. Brian is screaming, accusing Grant of exploitation, and perversity. I just mutely agreed with Brian, because that vein in his head that swells when he’s angry, looked like it was about to burst, and I didn’t want to get him any more angry.
Then he left for Kevin’s where he is staying tonight, apparently because I disgust him. I’ve been sobbing all night, so please excuse my shaking handwriting. I don’t mean to be a pathetic child, but I hate it when people yell. What makes it worse, is that Eryk never yelled. So everytime Brian yells, I think about Eryk, which makes Brian even more angry, because I am not focusing my concentration on him. I don’t know, I think I give up.
You know the drill, I’ll write later.
