Chris Ramsey was one of
the original interns when Port Charles had it's prime time debut.
From the first show we were shown that Chris was a man of many desires
and found means of making them a reality. He was ruthless, cunning,
scheming and charming and didn't mind stepping on a few toes to get what
he wanted. At the end of the premere, he grabbed the files Greg Cooper
had put together on the interns and planned to use them to his advantage
to get what he wanted in Port Charles. Chris took an instant liking
to Julie Morris (Devlin) as he learned the truth about her past and more
importantly her link to wealth and power, something Chris craved, however
Julie had found romance in the sweet paramedic Frank Scanlon. This
setback however did not set Chris back as he worked on his other plans
for making it big in Port Charles. During the race for the Quartermaine
residency, Chris eliminated the competetion by getting pictures of competetion
Matt Harmon and the Chief Resident Dr. Burgess together at her home in
an intimate setting and he posted them over the hospital resulting in his
winning the Quartermaine (which he was later stripped from when the truth
came out about him being behind the pictures). However misguided
Chris was, we always saw him as a dark and scheming character until the
General Homicide murders began in Port Charles and at that time we saw
a softness in him. At first he and Dr. Eve Lambert, his then roommate,
cooked up alibis together in what viewers saw as an attempt to save his
own skin from imprisionment, but as time went on we saw that this handsome
Doc had a soft spot for his beautiful roommate. Time and time again
Chris covered for her, tampering with evidence that he'd found planted
in her closet and he stood by her risking his own freedom to protect her.
Eve, unaware of Chris' secret longing for her, viewed him as her best friend
and the two had a wonderful friendship always backing each other up in
times of trouble until Eve and Kevin Collins began dating. Pushing
his feelings aside, Chris encouraged Eve to follow her heart with Kevin
and he in turn shut off his feelings for Eve. He dated Courtney Kanelos
for a while to bide his time while true love Eve Lambert had moved on with
Kevin. Later he found out that Courtney and Frank had been scheming
him, so he in turn took the advantage over them and beat them at their
game. He also formed an unlikely alliance with General Homicide murderer
Julie Devlin and he helped her give birth to her daughter Christina.
Later the two wed and he worked to get her out of Ferncliffe. The
two shared a brief period of wedded bliss until Julie felt she had no chance
of regaining her daughter again from her adoptive parents. Julie
fled Port Charles leaving Chris vengeful and heartbroken. Currently
he's been using Livvie Locke to manipulate both Rachel and Kevin for his
own agenda. While some feel Chris has turned quite bitter, other
speculate that his new agenda is part of some master plan he's hoping will
get him back to what he's felt was his to begin with. The question
is, what does Chris Ramsey truly want?
