* * A few notes on the below lists. Times noted with an (*) were run over the full one-mile distance. Those times noted with a (#) were run outside the time frame of the Nebraska High School Track and Field season. Millard North's Brian Turner has two separate times listed. His 4:10.8 is his best within the track season, while his 4:09.29 for one mile in June of '98 just can't be ignored. The times greater than 4:20 for boys which appear on the lists were all run over one mile and by any conversion standard which is used qualify for inclusion. We did not attempt to convert any of the metric/yard times, but merely listed them in time order. We also did not attempt to convert any 1500 meter times from the summer Junior Olympic competition.* *
