Here are some of the special traditions and customs that my family has held dear down the years as we celebrated Christmas, Kwanzaa and the ringing in of the new year!
Each year, I tried to include some things that set my family apart from the rest of the big family without stepping on any toes! I wanted to teach my children that traditions and custom should be respected and cherished. But, I also wanted them to feel comfortable with starting their own traditions to keep in their new families while away at college, in the service, if or when they get married and to share with friends who may not have families close by!
