Kurama looked around, getting angry as more girls started joining that little group thing that followed him. This was starting to get on his nerves…. “That’s it! Go away! I um…. I’m trying to have conversation, but we keep getting interrupted because someone won’t stop GIGGLING!” He said, his eye twitching. “Hey, why make them stop. I would love to have girls all over me like that.” Said Yusuke, winking. *It’s not that easy you baka! Especially when you love….* He let that thought drop off. “Oh, he’s probably gay or somethin’.” Said Kuwabara, grinning. *bang* Kurama hit him over the head with a chair. “I’m NOT gay!” “Sorry I mentioned it.” He apologized, rubbing the gigantic bump on his head. “Besides, I love-” Kurama stopped as he realized he said it out loud. “Who?” Asked Hiei, popping out of nowhere from behind them. “Yikes!” Yelled Kurama. “Well…” “Botan.” “You love Botan?” “No, she’s falling from the sky.” He said, running over to the table, where he jumped on top of it and caught her just in time. “You must like falling like that.” “What do you mean, of course I don’t like it. Just had some trouble with my oar.” “Well, I’ve had to catch you twice like this. You know, jumping, and you looking scared to death.” He said, grinning. “Oh yeah.” “Hey, Kurama was just about to tell us he loves someone.” “Never mind.” He said, running away. Yusuke smirked. He knew. Was it just a coincidence that Botan showed up and Kurama chickened out? He thinks not. This would be fun. “Hey Botan, I need to talk to Koenma about something. Can you take me to him?” “Sure. What for?” “Oh…Just something about the group.” He said, looking absolutely evil. Botan didn’t notice as she took him Reikai. “Botan, can you please leave?” “Okay, but when do you start saying please? And why are you being so secretive? I want to know.” She said, giving him the kitty look. “You’ll find out soon enough. ;P” “Yusuke no baka!” She muttered walking out. Once they were alone, Yusuke started talking. “Kurama’s in love with Botan, and I think Botan’s in love with Kurama, but they won’t tell each other, so we need a plan.” “You noticed too huh? Botan has a picture of him under her pillow. It’s quite funny really. She thinks no one can see her. I think it’s turned yellow from how many times she looks at it.” “Hold on. Isn’t today the day we met everyone? I mean like, you know, we knew everyone in the group?” “Yep. According to my calendar it is. We can have a nice little party, and get Botan and Kurama up in it.” Half an hour later…. “Koenma?” Asked Botan, looking around the room. “Kurama’s here to see you.” “Uh… Hi. Yes Kurama?” “Botan can you please leave?” “Boys! They’re all alike! First Yusuke now you! What is up with these dumb secrets?!” “Fine. You can stay, you might actually help.” “Help what?” “Well…I’m tired of seeing Yusuke and Keiko continuously fighting when they are so obviously made for each other. So I’ve made a plan to get them together.” Kurama said, smiling. Koenma burst out laughing. “I can help. I already have a plan! How about Kuwabara and Yukina too?” “Nah. She’s a bit slow. I don’t even think she knows he likes her.” Said Botan. Kurama looked at her amused. “What it’s true! I don’t talk about her like that usually, but she’s not ready! I really think Hiei should tell her the truth first. And Kuwabara so he’s not wandering why he’s dieing!” “You’re right…. For once.” Botan glared at him. “I’m just kidding!” “Whatever. Humph!” “Ah! Come on now! Don’t be mad.” He laughed. “Silly Botan. You know I don’t mean it!” She smiled. 2 hours later…. “Hey, the party’s ready! Now let’s get everyone.” Said Keiko, starting to call everyone up to get them over. “Yep. The party’s at Kurama’s house. Yes we asked. Just get over here!” Once everyone was there they started. Their first game, truth or dare! (I love that game!) “Yusuke, truth or dare?” Asked Botan. “Dare.” He said, grinning. “I dare you to kiss Keiko. I don’t mean a peck either, I mean a kiss!” “*Gulp* Okay.” Yusuke walked over to Keiko and gave her a quick kiss. “Now, now. That won’t do. I said kiss.” “Fine!” He leaned over and gave her a long, breath-taking kiss. “Better?” His cheeks were flaming. “Yep. Your turn!” Yusuke smirked. He knew he was supposed to get K/B together but…. He couldn’t resist. “Hiei, truth or dare.” “Hn. Dare.” “I dare you to do something nice for Kuwabara!” “WHAT?! The one that’s courting my sister? I think NOT!” Everyone went quiet. Hiei gulped. “Who’s your sister?” asked Yukina. Everyone face-faulted. “I feel so sorry for you Kuwabara.” Said Hiei. “You have to court someone so naïve as her.” “WHO?” Begged Yukina. “No one. He’s just talking about a uh….girl called Sister.” Said everyone. “Oh.” Said Yukina, happily. “Let’s see…Kurama. Truth or dare?” “Truth.” Said Kurama, hoping not to have the scene that Yusuke had to go through. “Wrong answer. Truth or dare.” “Fine, dare!” He gulped. “I dare you to give the most beautiful girl in here a rose. Since we all know you love roses.” “Nope. What happens if you pass?” “I have to dare you something else. I dare you to…Finish your sentence. The one you was saying before you ran off.” “No one. I love no one.” “Stubborn idiot.” Muttered Hiei. So the game went on. Yusuke started to get worried, since Kurama and Botan hadn’t gotten any closer. Spin the Bottle. He loved that game. “Botan’s turn to spin the bottle.” Said Shizuru. “Okay.” She pushed the tip. It spun and spun and landed on….Kurama. *Gulp* “Well, here we go.” She closed her eyes, and walked up to him. She was red as Kurama’s hair. “Yep.” He was grinning so big it showed his teeth. They kissed, but it was a little short. She turned around and peeled the tape off her mouth. “I kissed him. But I never touched his lips!” She smiled. “Good one Botan!” Said Kurama laughing. Everyone else laughed too. After the game was done (Hiei had somehow gotten stuck kissing Shizuru….And everyone thinks he liked it.) it was time to eat. “How much exactly do you eat? Hiei? Hiei?! Listen to me!” Said Yusuke, as he watched Hiei pile almost all the little sandwiches onto his plate. There was 1 left. Kuwabara glared at Yusuke. This meant war! Yusuke picked up a soda shook it up and blew it in Kuwabara’s face while Kuwabara grabbed a piece of cake (you know, those mini cakes) and threw it at him. Can anyone tell me what happens when two people start throwing food at each other? You are correct! FOOD FIGHT! Chips, Sandwiches, mini cakes, and any other foods were flying everywhere. Hehehe. Once the fight was over (Kurama came back from his room and threatened to use his rose whip on everyone) they cleaned up the mess. Then it was time to sit around and talk. “Yusuke, I need to talk to you.” Said Botan, putting a worried face on. “Sure Botan-” He was cut off as she pulled him out of the room. “Keiko’s thinking about seeing someone. He asked her out last week. I think you should do something. He doesn’t seem very nice, and I have a feeling he’ll try to abuse her. She might say yes, because the person she loves…She doesn’t think he loves her.” “Who is ‘he’?”gr “Uh…You. Isn’t it obvious? She’s always worried about you, so worried she saved your life twice, when everyone else gave up on you.” “You really think so?” “Yes. You need to prove to her you love her.” “Fine. I hope. You better not be lying!” “I’m not!” Botan had to bite her lip to keep from smiling. Back to the party… “Oi, Kurama! I need to see you for a sec.” “What is it Yusuke?” “I have a favor to ask you. Can you spend some time with Botan? I need her to kind of stay away after what she told me.” “Why? What was it?” “Something about me and Keiko.” “Oh.. Okay. I’ll spend some time with her.” Kurama winked. “Thanks pal.” After the party….. “Uh…Keiko?” “Yeah Yusuke. What is it?” “I need to talk with you.” “Okay.” She said, sitting on the steps. He looked around, to make sure no one was watching. “I just want to tell you….I love you. I have since….Well since I saw how much you cared for me. You believed in me when no one else did. You saved me when no one else believed the truth. And you know, the time you kissed me and saved me from the fire and all, that’s not the only times you’ve saved me.” “Oh Yusuke! Thank you! I love you too! But when did I save your life?” “Every time I face a demon, easy or hard, I think: I’ll get through it, for Keiko. I would be dead right now, if I hadn’t thought about you when I faced death.” He said, bending down and kissing her. It was a sweet, long, beautiful kiss. “Are you still considering that guys offer?” “What offer?” “The one from last week.” “There never was an offer.” “Oh.” He said, but he was mentally kicking himself for falling for it. Oh well, the consequences were great though. Meanwhile, watching from the bushes….. “They look so sweet. I wish I could have that.” “You could. I mean, you have a great personality, you’re beautiful, and you’re sweet. What guy wouldn’t want you?” “Koenma, Yusuke, any one I’ve ever loved…You. You don’t love me.” Tears fell down her cheeks. “Please don’t cry. Tears make you look less beautiful.” He said, holding her in his arms. “Whoever said I didn’t love you?” “Do you? You don’t act like it.” “Botan, how can I not. Have you never seen how different I act around you? I’m not so….I dunno. I can laugh like I don’t around anyone else, I can be me. When I saved you the first time, I didn’t want to let you go. I didn’t want to let go of you because it felt so right to have you in my arms. Will you love me?” “Yes! Yes I will Kurama-chan. I will love you.” “As I will you. Thank you.” The words came out as a whisper, as he leaned down. They closed their eyes and finally their lips met. The kiss was long and passionate. Kurama pulled her hair down, letting it fall to her waist. After the kiss broke, they just sat there, lost in their own world. “Kurama?” “Yes?” “Do you think you could ride home with me?” “Sure. Um… Botan?” “Yes?” “Here…” He handed her a single, red, velvety rose. It had the most beautiful scent. “This is for the dare. The one Hiei told me. You are the most beautiful. But you are also so much more.” “Thank you.” She blushed “I think I better go alone.” “Why?” He asked, afraid she would change her mind about her love for him. “You won’t be able to get home. Uh… I don’t think having a boy in my room in the middle of the night would do good for my job…” “I understand. Bye Botan.” “Bye Kurama see ya later.” “Bye…My Botan.” He turned around and walked inside. He smiled as he looked up to the sky. The stars winked at him.
