The caller pleaded, "Please Come! There is no food here, I can't care for
them!" Enter Drew Fitzpatrick, Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue, "I've got
'em, they loaded like a dream, but, boy are they in bad shape! We're going to
have to shave them down, they have everything bad a donkey can get and cuts and
bruises and mange besides! I'm taking them back to Zimmerman, to Hooved Animal
Rescue, I think they'll make it, but it's going to take time. Sponsorship was
found through the Humane Society of Wright County. We work with existing
organizations, in this case Hooved Animal Rescue.

Milo is being weaned now. He is a friendly, six or seven month old, standard
donkey jack foal. He's small and will probably mature at 11 to 12 hands or
medium pony size.
