"HOLDING THE PIECES TOGETHER"
Sometimes the pieces that are handed to us don't exactly fit our idea of what
"Lifes Puzzle" is suppose to resemble....perfect corners, tight fits, everything falling into place.
So... do we throw the whole puzzle away? NO....we put the pieces together the best
we can, and hope, in the end, it somewhat resembles what we perceive to be a
"normal/sane" existance. My Sister Sonja not only put together a puzzle out of broken dreams
and sleepless nights,She Holds the pieces that dont quite fit together..... with Love, and the kind of strength that can only come from the Grace of God.
My Baby Sister.....My Inspiration.

*Samuel Eli Grant* "Eli"
My nephew Eli....he was born without the front part of his brain.
he has hydroencphalis, and was born with many other birth defects.
Since birth he has had shunt surgery, cataracts removed from both eyes,
two hernia operations,a feeding tube, and the latest...stomache surgery. As you can see he is beautiful....Hes a joy to be around..hes very loving and gives Kisses all the time!!
****God took Eli into eternity April 21st,2002....Even though our tears are still wet and our hearts ache with loss...we know that he is in the best hands he could be in...Pray that My Sister and her Husband find strength in the Lord and each other to make it thru this trying time****
My Sister Sonja and her Husband Danny ..the best brother-in-law anyone could ask for. Sonja and Danny were reassured by a Geneticist that
they had as much a chance at having a healthy child as the next couple.Eli's
Birth effects had nothing to do with their genetic make-up. Professionals aren't
always right. Humans aren't infallible. Enter Alexis....
