I sit and watch
as Donald Duck
rages on the television
He reminds me of you
your cartoon hero
I laugh as I recall
the broken action figures
and vampires at
the bedroom door
Growing up together
I know
I wasn't the best
older brother
But here I am
at the beginning
of adulthood
with you not far
behind me
and I know
that someday
we'll be the ones
pulling fighting brothers
apart, kicking and
screaming over
G.I. Joes
Maybe we'll do it different
and maybe we won't
but we'll know this
much more
that fighting brothers
can grow up to be
good friends
