Untitled
Ask me how I know
But be gentle and kind
'Cause I do not appreciate
Demands upon my time
Even though I'm free
For the time being
God knows what waits ahead
Happiness and sadness both
I know shall come my way
Just because it is the way
Kind of silly though
Later what comes, who knows
More of what I've seen and done
Nevertheless it will be different
Only I'll be wiser yet
Probably because I've faced it before
Quirks of life's events unfold
Receiving me into my future
Sparking my life with change
Tending to be different but the same
Usually predictable yet not always
Varying from day to day
What is in store for me
'Xpands upon my horizons
Youthful mistakes becoming wisdom
Zeroing me in upon my future
