Elizabeth's father and the twins' grandfather. Lives with his family in London and has a close relationship with his granddaughter, though he had always wanted to meet his other granddaughter, Hallie. Was one of the first to become suspicious of Hallie (as Annie) and after over hearing a telephone call to Annie (as Hallie) in California, Grandfather convinced Hallie to come clean to her mother. He arranged to spend Thanksgiving with Nick, whom he'd always liked, and Hallie if the parent trap didn't work out, but didn't have to after a ‘few harmless pranks' and some loaned cash sent Meredith heading for the hills and Elizabeth again heading down the isle and again with Nick.
