New Playoff format
The CCHA has changed it's playoff format for the 2001-2002 season. All 12 teams from the CCHA will make the playoffs. The top 6 teams at the end of the regular season will host the best of 3 series. The remaining teams will be reseeded based on their regular season finish and sent to Detroit. The top two teams get a bye for the quaterfinals and 3 will play 3 and 4 will play 5 for the right to advance to the semi-finals. |
