Basic Info

This is some basic information about New Revolution Wrestling.

  • New Revolution Wrestling spawned from the Weatherstone Wrestling Alliance, a backyard federation that showed great potential, but had some problems finding fans that were really into the shows. However, now, with a real ring, and an older fan-base, nothing should stop NRW in the summer of 2000 and beyond.

First off, our federation is based in St. Louis County, MO. We are based in Lance Sydals backyard. Our season is from June until August, the summer, when we usually have 3 - 4 shows. During our off season (and in our on-season) we sometimes go to other federations' wrestling shows to either be in the audience, or to wrestle a match.

We wrestle on a home-made ring, made by our own design. The chief designers on the ring were Matt Idol and Lance Sydal, who made the designs. "Slick" Ric Muffler worked on the ring, along with Tatsumaki as well, and Cubano Morono Raul Sanchez also helped some.

Our ring is constructed from lumber, steel-and-copper metal posts, carpet-padding, rope, screws, and other small items. It is 16ft. by 16ft. square, the surface is 2 feet off of the ground, and the posts are (in total) 6 feet high.

During shows, we have two gymnastics mats on the outside of the ring, to help lessen the bumps we take on the outside.

Around the ring and in other places are weapons and other items we use during shows.

We have approximately forty chairs around the ring to accomodate our fans, and also we have a refreshments table and an announcers table around the outside.

Near the ring is a wooden deck that has a descending staircase. Approximately 16 feet high at the top wooden railing, the deck serves as the wrestlers "green room" and also the place where music is usually played from. Large tarps are hung from the deck as our set, and a large black archway is constructed on the staircase as a sort of make-shift rampway, with curtains at the bottom so the wrestler isn't revealed until he goes through them.

To enhance the quality or our show, we have two belts. Both are made of high quality material, NOT foam and plastic. Here is one shot of the IC/US Title that we use.

Our wrestlers are between the ages of 14 and 19, and are sizes between 5' and 6'1", weights ranging from 95 lbs. to roughly 190 lbs. The wrestlers all have unique costumes, gimmicks, angles, storylines, entrance music, and character traits which help catch the attention of the fans in attendance, usually beween forty (40) and seventy (70) people. In the summer of 2000 we are expecting (hopefully) 100 or more people.

Tickets to the show have costed from fifty cents to two-dollars, the latter being on the most recent WWA events. Now, NRW charges $2.00 per ticket, per person to get into the show, and all of the money is donated to charity.
