RESULTS: "Taz" vs. "Matt Hardy": With Matt Hardy being played by none other than NRW's own Lance Sydal, and one of the UWA wrestlers playing "Taz," this match was the first ever true inter-federational match in backyard wrestling history. It involved one wrestler from NRW, and the other from UWA, of course. Lance put on a very entertaining show, but was actually utterly dismantled by "Taz" after several different kinds of suplexes. Lance got off a great spinning heel kick and a moonsault, but ended up passing out after "Taz" put him in the Tazmission. Lance Sydal vs. Frank Apollo vs. Matt Idol: This match was the first time the UWA wrestlers got a chance to see NRW's true skill and talent. Although before the show some UWA wrestlers were a bit skeptical of NRW's wrestling talent, this match proved them wrong. This match was high flying, with ladders and construction barrels all coming into use- and for sure the crowd and the UWA wrestlers were very into this match. Lance was piledriven, Razor's Edged, crushed and clotheslined with a steel ladder, plus knocked off of his feet by a construction barrel several times. Frank Apollo and Matt Idol went at it during this match as well, and some great moves resulted. When Matt Idol tried for a hip toss, Frank blocked it and punched Matt in the stomach. Frank appeared like he was trying for a "Famouser," but instead leaped up, twisted to the side, and did a vicious hurricanrana! Lance Sydal did a moonsault off of two contstruction barrels to Frank, as well as a great shooting star press to Frank later on in the match. At one time, Matt Idol ascended the ladder do do an elbow drop to Lance, but Frank Apollo pushed the ladder down, causing Matt Idol to crash- The ladder landing on Lance at the same time! Lance did a very quick and utterly extreme hurricanrana to Matt Idol, which put Matt out for some time. Matt did come back to do a tilt-a-whirl bodyslam, but Matt got cocky and tried it again. This time, Lance reversed it into a tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Later in the match, Lance went up the ladder himself and did a huge corkscrew somersault plancha to Matt Idol who was standing nearby. Lance, suddenly getting a bit arrogant himself, jumped up on the construction barrels to try a move to Frank- but Frank gave Lance a hard shot to below the belt, and Lance fell on the standing construction barrels, one leg to each, and flipped back over on his face in a sort of unintentional split-legged moonsault to no one! Frank then gave Lance a solid kick to the chest while Lance was down. The match began to draw to an end- Matt Idol punched Frank in the stomach several times, and then went after Lance- but Lance blocked a punch, and kicked Matt in the chest. Matt reeled around, only to be caught by Frank. Frank put Matt's head over his shoulder, ran foreward, sprung off of Lance's knee and jumped high into the air, landing back down on the ground in a super-stunner! Matt Idol was out, so Frank went after Lance again. Frank first did a Razor's Edge to Lance. However, Frank Apollo decided to try it one more time. But Lance, capitalizing on the situation, managed to reverse it. As Frank was throwing Lance up in the air to slam him down, Lance grabbed Frank's head with his legs and did a HUGE hurricanrana! Lance Sydal felt it was time to finish the match off. He put two construction barrels about five feet from the edge of the huge wrestling surface, and put Matt Idol across them. He then took a huge ladder, and ascended it. The crowd gasped at every step he took, and thought it was over when Lance reached the top step. What would he do? Lance kept the suspense going when he went a step higher...onto the basketball hoop! Lance straightened out, on the basketball hoop, and did a perfect swan dive somersault sentan-bomb to Matt Idol, from all the way up! The crowd and the UWA wrestlers went absolutely crazy, and Lance Sydal basked in the glory as he covered Matt Idol, and counted one-two three!
