4 POSITION RIMFIRE PLATES.

This is a fun match intended to get you to use any rim fire rifle you have. We handicap the equipment to level the playing field giving points to older or cheaper rifles and sight systems. However, no matter what we allow for equipment, it is still the shooter that is the most important part of winning at this game.

COURSE OF FIRE...

• Each shooter will have a opportuninty to shoot ten metal disks (plates) at each of the following distances. Ten shots at 40 meters (44 yds), Ten shots at 60 meters (66 yds), Ten shots at 77 meters (85 yds) and TWENTY shots at 100 meters (109 yds). That is a total of 50 shots, THAT IS ONE BOX OF SHELLS.
• The 40m is shot from the STANDING position. 60m is shot from the KNEELING position. 77m from the SITTING and the 100m from the PRONE.
• The plates are three different sizes. BIG BERTHAS are 9 inches, REGULAR ROUNDS are 5 inches and the LITTLE BUGGERS are 3 inches in diameter. All set on steel rails.
• Scoring is simple, if you knock it over or off the rail, it is a hit. If you don't, it's a miss. Plates that are turned sideways but don't fall over are a miss.
• You have 5 minutes to shoot ten shots at each of the 40, 60 and 77 meter lines. You also only have 5 minutes to shoot the 20 shots at 100m. Plates are shot from left to right in order. Each line has at least one BIG BERTHA and at least one LITTLE BUGGER. (The 100m has seven little buggers!) If you miss a plate you keep shooting at that plate until you get it. If you turn a plate sideways you can go on to the next plate but the turned plate is scored as a miss.

CALIBERS... Any rimfire from .22 mag on down to .22 short.

HANDICAPS...

As you can see, an antique rifle using shorts has a 11 handicap to start with. ( and you'll need it )

Any heavy barreled rifle will be considered a target rifle.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES...

You can enter more than once but you can only win once. We will use your highest score for any prize. If you enter two or more times, you must use a different firearm each time.
