The 2004 NRF LMP

Myne Unofficial Nebraska Wenches’ LUST MUSTER POYNTE
is an area I first created back in 2001. It was originally designed merely to provide a place for Wenches, Rogues, Ladies, Lords, Musicians – whomever! – to gather & rest … or muster, or adjust, or store stuff … whatever! … while attending the James Arthur Vineyard Ren Fest.
At that time, ‘twas only a PICNIC TABLE and FREE HAIR RIBBONS.

By the next year (2002), however, the JAV Lust Muster Poynte grew to also offer FREE ACTIVITIES for young and old Faire-Goers. [“Woad” Face Painting and “Rune Stone” Painting.]
AND, because the ribbons and other activities were FREE, I designed the Lust Muster Poynte activity stations so that they required FAIRE-GOERS to PARTICIPATE in order to enjoy them!!! (I can’t afford to pay people to “run” the three LMP activity stations – and I surely cannot run them all by myneself!)

Since the Lust Muster Poynte is an entirely NON-PROFIT gig, there also is no way that I could ever PAY for a “space” in which to provide it! But, when I learned of the new Nebraska Ren Faire plans (in 2003), I contacted Sir Gregory and talked him into giving a FREE space to the LMP.
The Lust Muster Poynte (and associated Wench activities) was so popular in 2003 (and AGAIN, in 2004): it appears as though the LMP will be a STANDARD FIXTURE at all future NRFs!

As luck (and the Goddess) would have it, the PRIME SPOT for the 2003 & 2004

NRF Lust Muster Poynte was one that no Vendor would ever WANT. It has BUSHES! Vendors cannot set up tents or other forms o’ “booths” with BUSHES in the way. In fact, Sir Gregory called the spot “Completely Useless Real Estate.” Thus, the 2003 & 2004 NRF LMP was situated at the place where I most WANTED it to be … Right where the path through the woods (and its foot bridge) connects the Faire area to the Cabin area!

As you can see, the BUSHES and I got along Right FYNE!
In fact, I LIKED the bushes!

‘Twas TOOOO FUN being located between EYES OF THE WORLD and WODEN THOR ENTERPRISES (More about them on the VENDORS page!)

Additionally, This year I arranged things MUCH GOODER. ALL the LMP stuff (including the HAND WASH STATION) was much CLOSER to the “Main Drag” and much easier to access.

AH! Because we were so popular in 2003, (without me ASKING for it!) Sir Gregory arranged for us to have a LARGER PICNIC TABLE in 2004!!! (LOL)

As at all JAV Fests (and the 2003 NRF) the LMP was also the site where Lincoln Irish Dancers and their musicians (“Hot Rosin”) gathered ‘tween performances. However, because o’ the angle o’ the afternoon HOT SUN in 2004, the LID/Hot Rosin gathering place was moved to the WEST SIDE o’ the NRF in the afternoon! (SMART MOVE!)
