December 18th |
For my last dinner, Steve & Rachel (& the whole fandamily) took me to a FABULOUS COUNTRY PUB & RESTAURANT: The Rose & Crown
COUNTRY PUB & RESTAURANT is in the hamlet of Woodhill in the village of Stoke St Gregory. |
The Browning family has run this quiet but thriving country pub since 1979, and while the menu, staff and decor might have changed over the years; the quality of produce has remained a cut above the rest.
When produce is not home-grown on the family farm, it is locally sourced from quality Westcountry suppliers. Fish is brought in daily from Brixham while the seasonal vegetables may as well have been grown in the back yard.
Jeff picked me up EARLY on December 19th, and drove me to Heathrow Airport.
And, thus ENDED my 2004 UK TOUR!!!
