After individual training the ten-man bomber crew was randomly formed to work together as a cohesive team to eventually fight against the Germans. Extensive crew training took place at locations such as Walla Walla, Washington; Pendleton and Redmond, Oregon; Pyote, Texas, and Grand Island, Nebraska.
