December 4th: Visiting Nearby Villages & Info about THE BRIDE & GROOM!

These are all pix of buildings in SOMERTON,
that I snapped while Steve was getting his hair cut for the wedding.

The Somerton “ALMS HOUSES” –
A building of tiny houses built for “The Poor” hundreds of years ago.

Between 1696 and 1851, a TAX was levied against WINDOWS!Thus, during those years,
many windows of structures in England were BRICKED-IN to avoid having to pay the window tax.

I don’t have PIX of what I did on Saturday (December 4th) NIGHT … DAMMIT!
But, here’s a SYNOPSIS:

• Watched an INCREDIBLE CHRISTMAS FIREWORKS display set off
  in LANGPORT – across the moor directly in front of Steve & Rachel’s home.
• WENT OUT WITH RACHEL!!!First, we went to the Somerton Hotel Pub:
  In ADDITION to the couple ROUNDS of drinks we bought, a woman named “Juliet”
  bought us SHOTS of MALIBU RUM combined with CASSIS (a strong liquor).
• Maria (THE BRIDE) & Sebastian (the GROOM)
  joined us at the Somerton Hotel Pub for yet ANOTHER round of drinks.
• Next, the four of us went to the Kingsdon Inn, for several MORE rounds of drink.
• Met SEB’s DAD, Algernon, there. “Charly, this is Algy.”
  “Oh! Is that ALGY as in what I scrub off the sides of my fish tank?”
  Can we say, “Thank the GAWDESS that Algy has a sense of HUMOR?!!!”
  I think we CAN!!!
• Also at the Kingsdon Inn, I met Seb’s two Best Men: Sam & Simon;
  and his other good friend (his Usher), Ryon … aka, “Shit Break.”
  They had a bit of rope they were using to measure HAT SIZES (head sizes).
  I ended up teaching them how to do a CLOVE HITCH and BUTTERFLY restraint!
  Apparently, my BONDAGE dexterity endeared me to the three of them!
• THEN! Maria, Seb, Rachel, & I went to Yeoville, to a DISCO!!!
  “LE JARDIN” – the disco where STEVE & RACHEL FIRST MET!!! … MORE rounds of drinks
  … and Rachel danced us ALL into the GROUND before it finally closed!!!
  It took almost an hour to get a Taxi … So we didn’t get home until after 3 am!
