Frank E. Ingraham, 55, of Holdredge died Friday, Sept. 21, 1991 at Bryan Memorial Hospital at Lincoln. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 24 at Nelson Funeral Home in Holdrege with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial was in Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege. He was born Jan. 2, 1936, to John and Hazel (Van Horn) Ingraham at North Loup. He attended school at North Loup and worked on the family farm for several years. He married Shirley Guyle. They lived in the Lexington area. He worked for several years at Readix Grain Dryer. On March 23, 1980 he married Patsy Kirwan. They made their home in Kearney, later moving to Holdrege. He was employed at Kirwan Implement and later at Don Loar Ford and was working at Robinson Motors. He was a member of the Eagles. Survivors include his wife of Holdrege, two sons, John at home and Mark of Cozad, two daughters, Amy at home and Mary Alberts of Cozad, one brother David Ingraham of Layton, Utah, one sister Hulda Jones of Apache Junction Ariz, five grandchildren, and one great grandson. He was proceded in death by his parents and six brothers. |
Shirley Guyle Alonzo 64, of Cozad, died March 22, 2001. She was born June 17, 1936, near Arcadia to Richard and Pansie Mangan Guyle. She attended schools in Sargent, Oconto, and Elm Creek before graduating from Cozad High School in 1954. On June 13, 1955, she married Frank Ingraham at Lexington. The couple had two children, Mary and Mark. On August 21, 1986, she married Jose Alonzo at Lexington and they made their home in Cozad. She had worked in a factory in Fremont, nursing homes in Ord and Cozad and cared for a blind lady in Elm Creek. She later worked at Monroe Auto Equipment in Cozad. She enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other children. Survivors include her husband, Joe of Cozad, a daughter Mary (A.J.) Alberts of Cozad, a son, Mark Ingraham of Bee, two sisters, Alice Bevard and Emma Walters, both of Cozad, a sister in law, Dorthy Guyle of North Bend, six grandchildren, Jennifer, April, Davida, Natashia, Julian and Doug and three great-grandsons, Daniel, Andrew, and Chase. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Stanley and Vernon and two nieces, Linda and Carla Guyle. A memorial has been established in her memory. |
Fred Alberts, 90, of Cozad, died June 24, 2001. He was born January 16, 1911, at Hildreth to Walter and Hannah Albers Alberts. He attended rural school at Blue Hill. On March 18, 1934, he married Doris Beyen at Blue Hill and they made their home at Bladen before moving to Cozad in 1936. He did farm work in the Cozad area and was later employed with Allied Mills for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Mr. Alberts and his wife spent the winter months in Arizona. Survivors include his wife, Doris of Cozad, two sons, Richard (Helen) and Jerry (Mona), all of Cozad, 12 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry, two sisters, Etta Pavelka and Fannie Wechter and three brothers Albert, Ralph, and Herman. A memorial has been established in his memory. |
Jose "Joe" Edmunio Alonzo, 66, formerly of North Platte and Cozad, died Nov. 2, 2001, at Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland.
He was born Feb. 9, 1935, at Costilla, N.M., to Alfonso C. and Consipcion Maria Barela Alonzo. |
