Remember in creation that we discussed the separation between the “waters above” and the “waters below.” Does this idea fit into the account of the Flood? How?

In light of Genesis 2:6 and 7:11, do you think that the idea of Pangea is possible?

DISCUSS

In Genesis 6, what words are used to contrast Noah with all the people on earth?
Which words would you want to be described with?

When Noah and his family left the ark, they began a fresh start. Think of some fresh starts you have experienced. Why did you look forward to them?

In 2 Peter 2:5, Noah is called a preacher of righteousness. How do you think this title might be fitting for Noah? (Did he preach with words?) What ways are you or could you be a preacher of righteousness?

Long before the rain started pouring, Noah believed God when God said, “I will flood the whole earth. Therefore build an ark.” What future events has God warned us about? What can we do now to prepare?

THINK

The term “righteousness” carries the idea of obedience, but it also means acting appropriately within a relationship. Take some time to write down a list of people that you have relationships with.

Once you have a list started (10+), jot down one virtue that you do not display in each relationship. (For help with virtues, check Galatians 5:22-23 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.)

Once that’s done, Pick two relationships you listed and write down a specific way that you can work on implementing the virtue you thought of.
