CHAS’ & SUSAN’S |
After leaving Westminster, Parliament, and Big Ben (they are all in the same place), we got back on a BUS and traveled quite a distance to the area of the Tower Of London and Tower Bridge.
It had been a LONG day! So, we hunted up a PUB before going to the Tower.
Although Day Two passed without Susan imbibing any alcohol (Hey! I kept track for youz guyz!),
by this time, she was ready for another “half pint” of ale.
I bought her a PINT!
(Ha! She drank it!)
Being a LUSH, I finished my G&T long before Susan was even half-way through her pint.
And, since I grokked that she wasn’t particularly interested in the Tower of London,
I asked her if I should visit it while she stayed and finished her pint.
So! Hey, Susan! Here’s what I saw!
First, I walked WAAAAY
I would have |
“Traitor’s Gate” is at the “FRONT”
Traditionally, prisoners were brought in by boat. |
Next, I finished walking along the “front” of the fortress, and reached the Southeast corner.
There, I took a Mini-Vid o’ the building.
Go To the MINI-VID!
Although I don’t particularly plan on EVER fussing with a visit to London again
(Scotland is much MORE fun!), if I DID go back there I would have to do an actual TOUR of the Tower of London. Especially, a LATE NIGHT tour! It sounds like too much fun!
