Day Five
… Continued!

We expertly
(thanx to SUSAN,
my NAVIGATOR!)
arrived at Castle Fraser,
but found it CLOSED!

Knowing that I would NOT
have scheduled a visit
to a CLOSED castle,
and not seeing ANY signs
about the hours/days
it should be open,
I went in search of SOMEONE
to glean information from.

I headed off to a building apart from the castle (passing by a “Business Only” sign!)

Meanwhile, Susan visited the Castle Fraser Gardens.

I headed for.
The “Stables” … that are now an Office for the Scotland NATIONAL TRUST!

At the office, I learned that
the Castle opened at NOON.

(It was about 11:00 am at that point)
So, I walked back to rejoin Susan
in the area of the GARDENS.

At Left: A half-buried
(groundskeeper?) cottage
near the Walled Gardens.

we went on a walk
along a “scenic path”
that led through the
forested area around
Castle Fraser
