The Truly Innovative & Amazing
OUTDOOR KAT HABITAT
The “Habitat” enclosure at least allows the Katz to go “outside” a little bit!
They all are acutely aware that the “Habitat” is STILL a CAGE.
However, they USE IT! — They just love to shoot me dirty looks from time to time!
(It’s a Kat thing.)
View From Inside My Basement Bedroom
The box-like thing in the left window’s screen
is the Screen Door Kat Flap – the entrance/exit for the Habitat.
There’s a 3-foot tall scratch post beneath that window (unseen in this photo).
They climb up the post and leap through the flap door.
View Facing the Front of the House
Constructed of Hunter-Green wire fencing, and shielded from view by several trees,
the Habitat can’t be seen unless someone’s really looking for it!
There’s a log for scratching and draping on, outdoor carpeting in 3 different areas, some
flat stones, some dirt areas (although the fencing also is the “bottom” of the habitat),
and a section of SOD (Katz like to eat grass – don’t ask me why!)
View From the East Side of the House
The under-deck section has a plastic roof, so Katz can stay dry if they want to be
outside in the rain. The carpeted Cubes are to provide some different “levels” of
play. And, the reason the un-roofed section is L-shaped =
so I can still use the other window as a FIRE ESCAPE
(without ending up inside the habitat)!
HAPPY IN OUR HABITAT!!!
