BURGDORF HOT SPRINGS!

Burgdorf Hot Springs is a
TRIP BACK IN TIME!

And, although this incredibly
secluded spot is mentioned on at
least ONE Idaho web site,
it remains relatively “UNKNOWN,”
and certainly UN-SULLIED,
by the “tourist” trade!

Burgdorf is raw, rugged, and offers NO “modern” amenities.
(Ain’t no INDOOR PLUMBING, Punkin!
OH! You also need to bring your own TP!)
Burgdorf is a RARE TREAT!

 Although many cabins
have already been renovated
and are available for rent,
several remain
COMPLETELY
UNINHABITABLE.

Yet, PEEKING INTO them
is a really FUN activity!

(I hope that they leave some
of the old “ruins” AS IS!)
The glorious old
“BURGDORF HOTEL”
is slotted for renovation and
reopening sometime soon.

We peeked into the windows.
This building was an
incredible structure
in its “hey day!”
It sports absolutely
amazing cabinetry and
“burled wood” accents.
It’s ABSOLUTELY gorgeous,
even in it’s “decline.”

You’re not allowed to
actually “drive” onto the
Burgdorf grounds –
only up to the main building.
However, they provide a few
“carts” wherein you can
pile your supplies,
and then
PULL THEM
(huff! … puff!)
up the mountain
to your cabin.
Our cabin was
“fully equipped!”

Table, chairs,
wood stove,
some cut wood
(thank GAWD),
some lamps,
and some beds…

And, the
OUT HOUSE
wasn’t more than
15 feet way!
