Charly’s 2001 Christmas Letter CONTINUED!

JULY, 2001

Brother Steve drove up from Texas to attend his 20th High School Reunion! He DROVE (rather than flying) because he was “in charge” of the Reunion Soft Ball Game festivities, and wanted to bring his entire “DJ SOUND SYSTEM” with! He also arranged for the local OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE to CATER their flippin’ soft ball game!!! (Kim and Pat and I helped with all the “TO-DO” stuff. It was tooooo fun!) Sometime soon after this, Steve asked me to create a Web Site for his newest Outback Restaurant – as a way to allow interested persons to learn about the Outback “ethics,” and a way for them to conveniently obtain an appointment for an interview (when they began hiring for the new Outback, in November). OH! The 3rd through the 6th of August, Kim and I visited Lady Liz (Warner) at her home in McCall, Idaho. What a FUN trip! (At LEFT is myself, Kim & Liz on Crystal Mountain)

Our Burgdorf Hot Springs Cabin.	Liz wined & dined us royally the entire time we were there … and we had enormous fun meeting her puppy, “Jax,” and all her friends, and enjoying the Idaho countryside. But, the most fantabulous part of our trip was when Liz drove the three of us to Burgdorf Hot Springs to stay overnight!
Burgdorf is a very REMOTE, incredibly “off-the-beaten-path,” Hot Springs. In the 1960’s and ‘70’s it was a “HIPPIE-COMMUNE” kind of place! And Liz LIVED in Burgdorf during that era. Hence, she had tons of interesting tales to share with us about who did what … and when … and how – WOW! To see our Idaho Trip Pix CLICK HERE!	SISTERS. OCTOBER, 2001

• I turned 45 on the 4th. (Whoppie!)

Mynself and two unknown cute kidz whom I did RIBBON, verily and right-well!

On October 7th I attended the Kansas City Ren Fest. One of the vendors was willing to play “host” to members of the “Heartland Chapter of the International Wenches Guild” (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas and Oklahoma). Since I had a place to occasionally stow my RIBBON BASKET, I was able to take it with me, and “ribbon” kidz (FREE of charge) whenever I wanted a “break” from trekking about the Ren Fest.

AND: October 19th – 22nd, myne sister, Kim, and her son (Patrick) flew with me to Texas to attend the TEXAS REN FEST! This year, Sirs Patrick and Erik, and Princess Taylor (and their friends) ALL had NEW costumes. Sir Reed, and his buddy, Sir Christopher, (THANKFULLY!) were happy to wear the same spectacular Knight Tabards they’ve worn the past two years. E’en Master Steve (a.k.a; “Pig Sty Guy”) FINALLY attended in costume this year! (Lady Jodi was beset with allergic illnesses that prevented her from joining us this year. FIE!!!)

NOVEMBER, 2001

I was STILL working on the Rewrite of my Paramedic National Standards Self Test Book … And, I traveled twice to MICHIGAN, to provide testimony in a hearing about a Restraint Asphyxia case that I’ve been retained as an “Expert Witness” for. The attorney that I’m working with on this case is the guy who was KEVORKIAN’s attorney! (When Kevorkian went COMPLETELY MADD, he fired this guy, and elected to “represent” himself. That’s when Kevorkian ended up in prison!!!)

• Additionally: a non-Restraint-Asphyxia-related case that I’ve been retained as an “Expert Witness” for (simply as an Expert in prehospital EMS care), became more active this month = requiring me to write an official “Expert Report.” Since I’ve written an “official” report, I’ll likely be required to go to Chicago and provide Deposition Testimony in that case in January or February of next year.

Ooh! Nephew Pat got his “Provisional License” to drive in November. (Apparently, they don’t just turn 16-year-olds “loose” with a Driver’s License anymore! LOL! Tough break, Pat!)

DECEMBER, 2001

I’m DESPERATELY hoping to finally finish the Rewrites on my Paramedic National Standards Self Test Book this month!!! And, the whole Fandamily is planning to visit TEXAS for CHRISTMAS this year (instead of “New Year’s”)!!! We hope to leave Lincoln for Huston on the 23rd and return just prior to January 1st.

JANUARY, 2002
My Resolutions For The New Year!

• I will accomplish WHATEVER rewrites are still needed for the next edition of my Paramedic Self-Test book IN JANUARY, come hellorhighH2O!!!

• AFTER I accomplish the above-mentioned rewrites; I will continue working to effect changes in the National and International understanding of Restraint Asphyxia!

• I will NOT work on any more projects for Fandamily members, nor work on any more Restraint Asphyxia articles, until I get my rewrites done!

  (Obviously, this Entire Section is – AGAIN! – primarily for the BRADY Bunch! LOL.)

That’s IT, Folkz!!!

Our Fandamily remains inordinately BLESSED by Fortune (in spite of all its twists and turns), and we are ALL Enormously THANKFUL for being alive and reasonably healthy!!! I Dearly and Sincerely Hope that YOU and YOUR FANDAMILY Have Enjoyed Similar GUDE FORTUNE in 2001 – and that You Enjoy Even BETTAH Fortune during the coming year!!!
