The
SOCIAL
HOUR

Doane College, located in Crete, Nebraska, (approximately 25 miles
from Lincoln), is the oldest four-year, private liberal arts institution in Nebraska.”

The NCDA Summer Convention’s “Social Hour”
was held on “The Conservatory Patio,” from 4:10 pm to 5:00 pm.

NO BOOZE. But, the punch and nutz were free!

Members of The Plymouth Brass provided excellent entertainment.

However, it was rather weird listening to CHRISTMAS CAROLS
while sweltering in the July HEAT & HUMIDITY. LOL

First-Plymouth Congregational Church is in Lincoln.
“First-Plymouth's resident brass ensemble consists of four trumpets, [French] horn,
two trombones, tuba and two percussionists. The Plymouth Brass participates in
Sunday morning worship services approximately twice monthly including
Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday and Easter.”

Members o’ the Ray Miller Entourage at the Social Hour (L to R):

Carol, Vernon Forbes (standing in front of Ray), Marlene & Kay Johnson,
Denny Schneider (standing), Jo Forbes, Kim (Dave missing from this pic),
and Jack Snider (standing in light-colored polo shirt)

Marlene & Kay are long-time Bridge Buddies, the rest
(apart from fandamily) are long-time Music Buddies

Jack, Vernon, & Denny are primary members of the “Coffee Klatch” that Ray loves!
These retired music department dudes still get together at least once a month.
Personally … I don’t WANT to know what they talk about! LOL
