THREE choirs performed during the 2 ½ hour banquet.

Above is “La Camerata”, a group of Madrigal Singers
from Grand Island, Nebraska
Other Choirs that performed:
Wayne State College Madrigal Alumni Singers (directed by Cornell Runestad!)
The NCDA’s High School & Collegiate Madrigal Honor Choir
and, a “Recorder Choir” … no voices – woodwind instruments:
soprano, alto, tenor, and bass recorders.

a perfectly TERRIBLE pic of a perfectly LOVELY person, Jon Ranard!
Jon is the current director of the Scarlet & Cream Singers.
AND, at their 50th Gig, Jon was the person Ray asked to sing
RAY’s SONGZ to CAROL! [Thank you AGAIN, darlin!]
Apparently, I only ever got pix of the BACK of JACK SNIDER’S BALD HEAD!
Jack is a long-time music buddy o’ Ray … and was MY DATE at the affair!
Egadz! I also failed to capture a good pic of CARRIE and DAN, DAMMIT!
Besides being spectacularly splendid individuals, Dan & Carrie have been soooo
important to Ray, that they richly deserve an “Honorable Mention”!
Carrie Solomon has been a part of our fandamily since
1970, when she was one of Ray’s UNL music students.
Carrie was a member of the very FIRST
Scarlet & Cream Singers – in 1973!
After graduating from UNL, Carrie embarked upon an
incredibly impressive professional music career.
[If you GOOGLE “Carrie Solomon Schultz”
you’ll run into her Mannheim Steamroller info,
and ALL SORTZ of other fine stuff!]
She was Jennii’s Voice Instructor (Kim’s daughter)],
and also directed a choir Jennii sang in for a few years.
Both Carrie & husband Dan Schultz sing with
The Soli Deo Gloria Cantorum; the professional
chorale that Ray sang with from 1990 to 2003.
So, DAN has ALSO been part of our fandamily
since 1990 (at least)! |
