2002 UK ADVENTURE
DAY TWO
After the MANY drinks/hours at the Duke of Hamilton the night before,
once we’d dragged our butts back to the Admiral Hotel I thankfully thought to
have Susan ingest a (large) “prophylactic” dose of ADVIL before going to bed!
So, apart from being just a tiny bit slower than normal this morning,
she seemed to feel fine!

We had an “English Breakfast” at the Admiral:
Eggs, bacon (what US-types call “slices of ham”!),
sausage, half of a tomato … grilled,
toast, and BEANS (like “pork ‘n beans” beans).
I loved it! |
Thus fortified, we were OFF to our Day Two adventure!
When visiting London, BUY A BUS PASS!
There are “tour” busses that offer
“jump on & off” guided gigs.
But, it’s MUCH cheaper
(and more convenient – I think)
to just buy a regular bus pass
IF you're going to be there
for one or more days! |

The ONLY difficulty: Figuring out the London bus system’s maps!
But – hey! – it CAN be done. It took us a while. But, WE did it!

| Our First Stop: BAKER STREET!
To rendezvous with Carol, John, and Toni
before they caught their train back to Liverpool,
we agreed to meet at the Baker Street Tube Station.
However, we found them at an
outdoor COFFEE shop
(hoorah … we REALLY needed it!!!),
directly across the street from
the Sherlock Holmes museum. |  |

The London Beatles Store
Just HAPPENED to be a few doors down
from Sherlock Holmes Museum!
So, after our coffee, we trekked to
the London Beatles Store.
(The X-mas shopping beginneth!) |

After the Beatles Store, we went to the Gift Shop in the Sherlock Holmes Museum.
Carol, John, and Toni didn’t have time to do the tour with us.
So …. Ow! Twist my arm! … we had to SHOP.
Heavy Sigh! Carol, John, and Toni soon had to leave us.
Lots of hugs and BSK (Big Sloppy Kisses) later, we parted.
[One of these days, Susan and I hope to schedule an on-line BRIDGE GAME
with Leather (Carol) and Close (Toni)!!! John! You have to, at least, KIBITZ!]
