Day 3, July 4th

Anne’s home is an unassuming
Ranch-style house.

The interior is lovely, and has
entirely “modern” appliances and
facilities. (In other words: you’ll
recognize the shower and toilet controls!
Trust me – this is not necessarily
the “norm” anywhere in the UK!)

Her son lives in Thailand!
So, her home is decorated with
her fabulous collection of
Thai and Oriental Art.

(I didn’t get interior pix, dammit!
But, I WILL, NEXT TIME!)
In addition to ANNE being
a terrifically wonderful hostess,
what makes Anne’s B&B
soooo very scrumptious:

Her enclosed patio
(for inclement weather use),

Her outdoor dining area
(for when weather is fine!),

Her bountiful backyard,

and Her Grand Garden!

“Background” Info:

An entire YEAR before
Suz & I visited last September,
I had contacted Anne while
looking for our Braemar lodgings.

Anne was already FULLY booked.

But, via continued Emails
between us (Anne helping with
various questions about Braemar
stuff), Anne & I became
VERY good friends!

So, even though Suz & I
ended up staying at the
Braemar Scottish Youth Hostel,
last September, we spent
ALL of that weekend with ANNE,
becoming even better friends.

That’s why I was sooo
excited to finally get to STAY
at Anne’s home (B&B).

She’s an incredibly interesting woman
… tons of fun to chat and play with …
and, incredibly knowledgeable about
the Braemar area.
(Even though she’s not a “native.”)

Even were you not interested in
a fabulous new friend, you simply
couldn’t ask for a better Hostess!

Anne puts loads of love and
care into her home and garden.

Everyone who stays with her
feels entirely welcomed, and
entirely comfortable while there.

She’s a DREAM!

Years ago, Anne converted the
south end of her home into a
“Self-Catered Suite.”

It’s a 1-bedroom apartment, that also
has a sofa-bed in the living room,
a kitchen, a separate entrance,
and complete privacy.

The three days I visited this time,
there were three women staying
in the suite.

I never saw them!
The sliding glass doors that
are the suite’s private entrance
open onto a private patio.
There’s an interior door from
the suite that opens into the
B&B’s dining room.

So, if suite-persons wanted to enjoy
Anne’s incredible meals, they could!

Also, they can enjoy her backyard
and garden if they like.

I know this sounds like a
SALES PITCH!

But, if EVER you are going to
visit the Grampian Mountains of
Scotland, you MUST stay at least
ONE NIGHT with Anne!

It’s simply toooo fabulous
to be missed.
