Day 4, July 5th
Dinner at The
MOORFIELD

Back in September, 2002, Lindsay invited Suz & Anne & I to the Braemar Royal Highland Society’s “HOSPITALITY TENT” and SOIRÉE after the games concluded. We had terrific fun socializing there, rubbing elbows (and other body parts) with Pipers and various Braemar Citizens. When everyone dispersed, the PIPERS immediately headed for the PUB at The Moorfield House Hotel and Restaurant.

So, after a brief respite at Anne’s place
Suz & Anne & I trekked
up to the Moorfield.

It was soooo crowded!

“How crowded was it?!”
It took me 45 minutes to get us
ONE round of drinks.

I had to wade through a room filled
WALL-TO-WALL
with Drunken Pipers …
then wait in line at the bar!

I luved it. But, there was no way I was going to go back in to get another round!
Anne & Suz waited outside for me to bring the drinks out.
Then, we socialized in the DARK for a bit, and WENT HOME!

So! THIS TRIP,
when Charles, Lorna, Ben,
Anne and I decided to eat at
the Moorfield’s Restaurant,
it was the first time
I was actually able to
SEE THE FLOOR &
WALLS of the PUB!

We sat in the PUB and
enjoyed some cocktails
until our table was ready.

I could just SPIT:
I failed to get pix
of the Dining Room.

It was lovely, and
the food was great.

AND I
FINALLY ate
HAGGIS!!!

OK. I sort of “wimped”:

I ordered a
Haggis
APPETIZER!

Hey! I ate it ALL!

Haggis has sort of a “gamey” flavor –
like venison. So, although it wasn’t
“horrible,” I’ll probably never eat it again.

Want to know more about HAGGIS?
Here’s my HAGGIS INFO page!

It’s a FUNNY, yet still INFORMATIVE, page of HAGGIS info!

(Put your MOUSE on the pic for a close-up!)

After dinner, we sat in
Anne’s living room,
having cocktails
and CHATTING,
for at least an hour or two!

I thought I’d taken some
pix during this chat session.
But, I can’t seem
to find any!

Thank goodness that Lorna
sent me this pic of
Anne, Ben & I.

That’s IT for Day Four!!!

Imagine having to POST them all!!! It was a LONG and eventful trip!
But, seriously, whether anyone ELSE ever “visits” all these pages, or not,
I’ll always have them!
And, I really do “reminisce” by visiting them …
as others reminisce about past travels
by looking through Static Photo Albums. LOL.
